The thracian hats were made of fox-pelts, so keep them in "foxy" colors, if possible :D

Hmmm... got my S&S yesterday, while Legions Triumphant is delayed for about a month according to Amazon (Germany). But wouldn't count too much on Amazons dates. The last few times they sent me a "your order is delayed for a few month"-mail together with a "your order has been ship...

Thanks alot! For now, I'm gong to paint and use those Almoravids as Fatimid Egyptians. Comparing my figures to the Osprey picture from S&S this should fit. When the feudal supplement fnally comes out, I will decide what to do with them.

Hello,
I'm about to base some Almoravid Infantry and I'm wondering what they will propably be classified as. You were talking only about HF, defensive spear, will there also be MF troops with similar equpiment? And what do you think, will the archers be LF or MF (or both)?

Best regards,

Fan mods in the work yet?

Hello, one thing I liked very much about DBx were the rule-modifications done by fans. Especially DBA 1500-1900 grasped me, for which I've put together about 20 napoleonic armies. So, I'd like to ask if anybody is already working on similar projects for FoG yet, or maybe there are already some avail...

I'm really looking forward to your early ancient or biblical companion books! Ordered some Ospreys on that topic today, just to keep me busy until then.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the quick reply! Now I can base those bloodthirsty chaps without worrying. Are the reserve bowmen LF or MF? So guard units will be 6 bases big, right? I thought propably 4 like other elite units, but "3rd rank" implies 6 bases (or more...). Could you tell me why guard-bowmen are...

Assyrian Basing Question

Sorry if this topic is annoying, I know people often ask about how to base their miniatures for future armies, Assyrians amongst them, but I haven't yet found the info I was looking for here. So: I ordered myself a bunch of Assyrians (late/neo) and would like to base them properly right from the beg...

Hello, might be a silly question, but will there be an aditional troop type entry for those axe-club wielding Egyptians, with heavy weapons? Or should I just glue them amongst their normally armed fellas? I don't know if they fought as seperate troops or were rather a mixture... Also, do I get it ri...

I've had about a dozend DBA armies in 1/72, so now I'm backing some of them up to be playable with FoG. Germans, Carthaginians and Celts are almost done. Greeks, Macedonians, republican Romans (and I fear: the rest also...) will follow soon. Another advantage of 1/72 scale is also that they fit the ...

Ok, so it doesn't matter if theres 3 or 4 on a base, thats good. That Persians is really a complex bunch, guess I'll better wait until Immortal Fire before basing anymore of them. Could someone tell me though, how ancient Greek or gallic archers are classified? Both armies have slingers and javelinm...

Basing Missile Troops

Hello, I'm getting along quite good re-basing (or newly basing) my existing armies. But now a certain troop type piles up here, because I don't know how to properly base them. Mostly archers, but also some later roman crossbowmen. This is hard because archers in DBA eg sometimes are treated like 2Ps...

I'l have a look at your SHop Madaxeman, sounds interesting!

Oh, of course the highland tribes are MF, for they wear Kilts (*outch*;))

Oh, an extra question comes to my mind, are fanatics somehow represented? Otherwise I might just base some limewashed nudists af HF and use those.

3 little questions

Good day to you all! I have got a few small questions (again...), it would be nice if someone could help me. 1. Whats the BG size for chariots (British, Assyrian or Egypt)? 2. Since Celts are divided in normal (MF) and highland (HF), there will be no additional HF nobles, like in other games, correc...

Though I'm happy about the high interrest, I hope this doesn't mean that Amazon will be sold out for weeks/month. Darn. I'd hate to wait for the reprints!
