Quitting Pandora
Well, if your efforts at working on Pandora are to drive players away, you have succeeded. I am no longer interested in playing the game. It used to be fun. Now it is a waste of time. Since your last update I have attempted 4 different games. In each game, I have been wiped off the face of the plane...

Re: Population continues to decrease after defeat of faction
There's plenty of incentive to capture. azpops's assessment is not correct. Cities don't even lose any infrastructure on takeover. Even it it were true that a size 42 city drops down to six population at the end of the migration cycle (that's a wild exaggeration) it would still be six population ga...

Re: Population continues to decrease after defeat of faction
After having played now further in the game, there seems to be no incentive with the current morale loss in capturing a city to capture a city. As an example, I captured a 42 population city. By the end of the morale penalty for capturing the city, the city was down to 6. Meanwhile, the faction buil...

Try lowering the alien aggression. This will give you longer to build up an army before the bugs start coming at you.

Re: Cool Down for Black Hole
OK, just realized I missed that game pace affects cool down period. I am playing at epic pace. Still, the cool down periods seem to be based on the old rates, not the new ones in the latest update.

Cool Down for Black Hole
Latest change for Black Hole lists cool down period changed to 16 turns. In my latest game, I just created a black hole in a city and the cool down period shown is 23 turns.
The file is 984 Kb zipped so I can't attach it.

Population continues to decrease after defeat of faction
From the change log for release 1.4: "Capturing a rival city now emigrates a certain portion of population growth back to the original owner." Why does the population continue to decrease after the faction is defeated? I can understand the emigration while a faction is still active, but af...

I too have noticed that the maps are smaller. I would like a return to the larger maps.

Windows 8
Does Pandora run in Windows 8? I had to purchase a new laptop recently and while Pandora runs fine on my Windows 7 desktop, I cannot get it to run at all in Windows 8. It loads in Windows 8 just fine, but as soon as I try to start a new game it crashes. I have tried downloading and reinstalling it b...

Re: 1.3.4 First thoughts
I haven't played the latest betas yet but I see one glaring problem (above many other potential problems) with this latest version, and that is the 5% morale growth system. Togra University, which is possibly already the weakest faction due to precisely their morale penalty, is now even worse off. ...

City Growth
Is it normal for a city to have massive growth in only 2 turns? In my latest game, both the Terra Salvum and Divine Ascension are building cities and they are expanding at fantastic rates. The Terra Salvum just built a city and in two turns it went from 1 to 8 in size. Also, the city name keeps chan...

Version 1.3.0 is unplayable
Attached is a saved game file and the logs for my latest attempt to play version 1.3.0 of Pandora. It has become totally unplayable with the latest version. I can get a game started and play 50 or 60 turns and then the game just crashes and I am unable to play any of my saved games or the autosaves ...

Re: Fungus not hurting formers
My formers are never hurt by fungus. They have no armor and do not heal automatically. They used to be damaged when in fungus, but now they are not damaged at all.ERISS wrote:Or you mean formers are never hurt now? (I did not verified)

Fungus not hurting formers
Is it intended in the latest beta that fungus no longer hurt formers? It still damages combat units that end their turn in the fungus, but formers are no longer damaged when sitting in a fungus hex.

Re: Constant bonus of +2
I do strongly disagree with you though, OP - what happened before was the transcendence era whizzed past so fast you didn't even have time to explore the new toys it unlocks because the game ended so fast due to the massive income rates. The new income rates will encourage some modifications to pla...
