Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

Thanks McGuba for such a great MOD, I've got the mod working now but did have an initial problem where the MOD would install I'd get the choice of campaigns to start but when starting a game I got a blank map...I could play previously save games though :?: I got around it by uninstalling all PzC ite...

Re: DLC 39 and beyond

Narvik “Nobody told me that it was Navy day!!” With all that Sheffield steel floating about somewhere I felt the need to use 3 Ju 88’s but I was not quite prepared for just how many British ships were out there. I withdrew my naval forces to the North and had to be content with sniping at the Britis...

Re: DLC 39 and beyond

Lillehammer Or “Deja vu PG2” An almost exact copy of the PG2 with a twist. My forces were split into two groups to take advantage of only roads in the area... During the first turn on the right flank I mounted a Ju87 trap with two escorting 109’s to catch any fighters whilst on the left I destroyed ...

Unit Availability

I’ve just started DLC 39 again! But this time going through on General. I really do miss having the odd Pzkpfw III or IV. As these tanks were available but in very limited numbers, could there not be a limited availability rule as there was in PG3? Where you could have one unit of either III or IV a...

Re: Idea's for New DLC's

If I did have one thing to moan about it would be that the games are not long enough.

One of the scenario’s needs to be completed in three turns! I've not got the seat warm before the game is over.

Although to be fair - this could be said of a lot of games.

Idea's for New DLC's

Love the game so far, Good graphics, smooth game play and easy to pick up the basics of game play with loads of depth to keep you interested. It’s nice to see that expansions are starting to become available. I would like to see the earlier campaigns in a DLC 41-42. Along with Army Group North and C...

Armoured Charge

A couple of questions and a couple problems Has any one managed to capture a French VP in 5 moves.. and as you can only start on turn 19 that only leaves four turns?? :( Where is the best place to post a thread to ask for advice on games? How is it that a Pz IIIe has two shots in a turn whilst an Ft...

Re: DLC 39 and beyond

Oslo “does anyone remember where I parked the battleship” This seems such an easy game but I still managed stuff it up some how. The sea landings to the west all went swimmingly, resistance minimal, nice to have the sdkfz 232 x 8 and halftrack’s. The eastern landings were a different matter. I unloa...

Re: greta differences on level off difficulty BETWEEN campai

I always try to prioritize the units to destroy Arty AA/AT Tanks/Mobile AT Recon Infantry... etc It slows me down but I try to build forces up out of spotting range of an objective, hit the high priority targets and draw up in a defensive line ready for the counter attack in the following turn. I ne...

Re: What game would you like to see next?

How about a Middle East campaign 1948 to ...... not seen many games for Suez of the 6 day war etc.. How about a 70's or 80's WW3 Leopards, Chieftains and M60's vs hordes of T54/55/62/64/72's could have europe, mid east and pacific campaigns. A reinvention of historyline 1914-18 would be nice to see ...

Re: DLC 39 and beyond

Spoils of war “Like trying to stop a train with a BB gun” Having read a few AAR’s of other people I thought I’d have a go at this scenario but with a slight change to my formation. Having enough prestige I repaired all my units and purchased 3 more “88”’s just for this game, deploying 4 in total– th...

Re: FAQ / Common Questions

In the "Afrika Korps" product info there's a mention of gliders as a new unit type - will this then get updated into the DLC 40? And... In PG2 there was an OVERUN option where tanks could destroy weak units without losing it's attck turn, will that be included in PzC (my record was 6 units in one go...

Re: DLC 39 and beyond

Warsaw North “artillery with added artillery and a side dish of artillery” With my units split into two by the river this really was “a game of two half’s”. Both northern and southern groups try to achieve there objectives in the same way. A small group of units head straight in to attack Warsaw whi...

Re: FAQ / Common Questions

Hi,

In PG1 when a strategic Bomber attacked an unoccupied VH your opponent would loose anything up to 40 points of prestige. Has that been carried over into PzC?

And..

In playing a DLC is the opponents prestige carried over into the next game or does it get a set amount of prestige per map?

Piatek Or the defense of the Bazura Or “Where the H**L did all that come from” There’s just now way that you can hold all the crossing points at once you just don’t have the strength. So from the start I used a flexible defense, using my tanks as a fire brigade and only moving the artillery when I h...

DLC 39 and beyond

Having been an avid PG fan for more years than I can count, I just could not resist the temptation to buy PzC and a few of the DLC's. :D I first played PG on an Amiga using 3 1/2 " disks - PG2 on Win95 - PG3 on Win 2000. So with this experience behind me and the mantra of Battle groups are best I fi...
