Re: Desert War 1940-1942
I had the same reaction. It almost sounds to good to believe. I still have all of the Atomic/AH titles but they are very difficult to play on a new OS. Those old titles are still the apex of operational wargaming design in my opinion and DW looks very similar but with a broader focus and a strong ed...

Re: Ulundi and Isandlwanna
I am playing Ulundi in multi-player and the Zulus are closing in on my square. I pray I can hold them back. God bless the Queen, the Martini-Henry, and the scenario designers!

Re: Seven Years Wars battles
I am very surprised that the SYW has been so neglected. The Jacobite action in Britain is much appreciated but we desperately need to see some Continental battles. I would also plead to the modders to make any of their efforts multiplayer while they are at it because that is where the game really sh...

No worries here. I never expected to see a fantasy title. Second Punic War or Seven Years War however.

Re: New Pike and Shot game?
Big Tolkien fan and love my fantasy rpg's but will be very disappointed if the elves bring us, uh, more elves. Much prefer a Roman Centurion or Prussian Grenadier.

Thanks for your reply. This seems to require much more effort than I imagined.

Making single-player senarios multi-player
Was very excited to see that The Seven Years War is finally getting some love with the Zorndorf scenario. Curious on how difficult it is to make scenarios multi-player? There are several scenarios that have been released that are only single-player and I would love to play them in an email multi-pla...

Re: Ramillies!
Any chance this will be made for multi-player? How much extra work is involved in making a mod multi-player enabled after the single-player version is complete? I know nothing about modding but it seems that it wouldn't require much more than disabling the AI but I am sure there must be more than th...

Re: A bit daft . . .
A unit that is pursuing a routed unit almost always stops pursuing after it takes ranged fire from what I have seen; especially at close range. Your situation is very odd and I have never seen such behavior after playing at least close to a hundred pbem games. I think that was a bug or just a very r...

Yes it is very exciting to see how productive the moders have been for this game. I hope the four big battles of Marlborough are eventually released. My favorite war however is The Seven Years War so still holding out hope that someone will venture to the Continent during that period. Love the '45 b...

Re: Why haven't I played Pike and Shot much?
Try playing an email game if you haven't already. I think you will find that your net and orderly lines will quickly become very disordered and the battle quite chaotic. I can't imagine playing P&S in single-player but I can't imagine not playing P&S in email. It is by far the most enjoymen...

Yes bless the Modders! They really are adding endless cherries on top of the P&S sundae. Some real quality work all around. Poltava is absolutely gorgeous!

I have to agree. This is the best war game I have played in several decades. I have bought but haven't played SJ yet but I'm sure it will be great as well. I eagerly await he next release. Hoping for Seven Years War or War of Spanish Secession.

I would have to agree. Of course it should be a possibility for this situation to occur but only very rarely.

Did you play that scenario? Or just saw the description?
Yes I have played Calais as both sides in pbem. A very difficult challenge for the Imperials to break into the fortress but not impossible.

Re: Best Scenarios for Sieges?
If I remember correctly, the Siege of Calais scenario has the Imperial player assaulting an actual fortress held by the French.
