It looks like your image is a jpg with a white background. You need to use png files with a clear background and to ensure that the overall image has the same size as standard ones. I'd be surprised if any more official developments came out, but by the time you've played through East, West, Sealion, Soviet, Allied Corps, US Corps and Afrika Korps, you can either start again at a different difficulty level (or other personal challenge), try multiplayer or play mods. I follow the kind of approach described by Turtler - maybe two SPAA to escort spearheads, and one or two towed 88s or 128s to weaken enemy aircraft and to defend the main body. I can usually get away with 2 or 3 fighters but you do have to be careful to keep them away from the enemy AA.

I've been experimenting with restricted reinforcements and even with 60% prestige and retaining Oleh Dir, Kerscher and Lent it adds a noticeable challenge in 39 and 40 (which is as far as I've got with this). One Vickers Medium image. The barrel edns were aligned as best I could with the 7TP, so you should be able to use the animations for that (be warned that I haven't tried it yet)

The mobile +towed large calibre pair works well for US and Germans forces. The SPAA can protect mobile froces while the heavy towed gun mainly weakens fighters and overstrength bombers. Can't beat a taking 10 off an enemt tac bomber when it attacks a unit guarded by a 3 or 4* AA.
