Re: General Killed when Routing Skirmishers!

I have about the same experience but it happened to me not my opponent. Cavalry with the genera charged the fragmented skirmisher. Bang! Skirmisher routed, general killed.

Byzantine 551-578 AD with Germanic Horse Tribes 260-492 AD allies

Kind of bug that these two armies have no time overlap.

Re: Fragmented Skirmishers

If the lights are fragmented, their AP is halved from 12 to 6 while passing through friendly formation costs 8 AP. Perhaps it's deliberate to make passing costs that much to prevent the lights too slippery. There are no additional passing through costs, they just have to pay the normal costs for mo...

Re: Passive vs Active Defence

Yes. But that small minority of games are always carefully picked by players depending on the current standings in that division. All part of the metagaming that goes on outside of the actual matches that I dislike. Well, I think my tolerance levels must be higher than yours. I hope your tolerance ...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .

Unfortunately that would be an utterly enormous task and would not be a good user experience as it would have to upload the turn after every player action. It also probably wouldn't give any additional protection as at best it would just make the cheating more time consuming as you'd have to go com...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .

I don't agree the players can monitor the reload result properly. One single reload, you are suspected as cheater, regardless what reason you give, because your opponent just regard such excuse as lie, putting a cheater hat on you, creating a thread to condemn you. This will be the outcome of the se...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .

I understand your frustration but any change has to be thought through. This is not a simple thing to resolve without causing as much damage as good so we need to evaluate the options here and make sure we get it right. This was a perfect storm of support staff being on holiday so the team being un...

Re: More Exported Empires Battles Options

We could have some FOGE conquest tournament with competing factions played by groups of FOG2 players. Each of the armchair generals played matches determines the fate of the region and the fate of the nation.

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .

It all happens automatically. Any kind of crash and the game would be saved up until the last movement. You have to finish the turn to get out of the game. No chance to modify with no crash. I will have a chat with one of the devs from Chaos Reborn and see if any suggestions or insight can be added...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .

Maybe also something to have a look at in the programming. I play Chaos Reborn which is also turn-based. While playing multiplayer occasionally you get a disconnection. But, even then, you just go back in and the game has saved everything up to the point when you crashed. You don't start the turn a...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .

The only real cheat I knew was when we played DBM miniatures at conventions... Paul Michael Serio often cheated with loaded dice. His fate? He turned out to be a professional 'hitman' and dies in a Florida prison for murdering a woman and child. Needless to say, when i told my wife she responded ;"...

Re: The Rally Point (discussion, questions and some highbrow philosophising)

Since the terrain is Pot Luck, both players should accept it and try the best. According to the terrain, every player should pick the appropriate units for the battle. It sounds immature to re-roll the terrain. Personally, i will never accept that and i suggest to delete this option from the Digita...
