Yep there is a saltire on there. Thanks.
I didn't think they would be so hard to come by?

Re: Protected Spear - whats the point(s)..?
Protected spear are a mainstay of many armies, yet whats the point? That's a real competition wargamer's kind of question. There are people here better able to judge than I as to whether the category successfully models their historical counterparts - I don't know the answer. Is the consensus that ...

Medieval Scots - Flags and Banners for 15mm
I am currently painting a Medieval Scottish army and have bought some 15mm banners from Freezywater Flags but these are for noblemen and I wish to provide several units with the saltire. I am finding the national Scottish flag hard to come by, so I wonder if anyone can suggest a supplier?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yeah well before you get too carried away you don't see a daughter of anyone as President of the USA. America is a bit behind in the equal opps stakes: India had a Prime Minister in Indira Ghandi, the United Kingdom had a Prime Minister in Margaret Thatcher and Pakistan a Prime Minister in Benazir B...

Pyrrhic plus Early Successor armies. I've never been able to work out how such troops were combined though. Pike plus elephant is easy, it's the Galatians plus pike that gets me every time. That said, Pyrrhus was said to have reckoned his defeat of Antigonos Gonatas' Galatians as the finest action h...

Unfortunately army lists can only be a guide, and their intention is merely to give people a guide. It is difficult to agree on them, and it's a shame that so much store is necessarily set in them for the purposes of competitions or anachronistic encounters (which appears to dominate the hobby). In ...

Figures for Early Crusaders
As a longer term project I am toying with the idea of painting Normans as Early Crusaders. Two Dragons Productions' figures are recommended by the Madaxeman but I cannot find good pictures of them. Are their figures really so good or are other ranges as good if not better? Will they be suitable for ...

I visited the battlefield a few years ago. The Scotch were arrayed on a high steep hill overlooking a lower hill upon which the English were stood. It struck me that heavily armoured and equipped men, eager for action (or nervous) would have found it a difficult descent. It would be interesting to k...
