Re: Reworking Sea battles.

I've never liked how visibility and range are handled at sea. Basically, "range" should never exceed "visibility". EX: For sea battles they should basically be the same for BBs. For DDs the visibility should be about the same but the range much less. There were only a couple of i...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 Pacific DLC Shelved

I would assume that the naval battles are the biggest problem. On land you got supply lines, close tiles open tiles, rivers mountains, hills, enttrenchment a lot of stuff that affects strategic decision outside of used units and encountered uitns. right now you have water as only terrain and units ...

Aggressive Deployment

Was this deleted? See it's still in the Rules file but not showing up in the traits pick-list. Was it ever announced? If deleted, any way to mod it back in? I've been using it the whole war and to delete it now seems a bit much.

Re: Bug Reports

Re: updates/ planes

1. Are you sure you actually REBASED them? That means clicking the rebase button (all airfields in range are highlighted). Just "moving" the plane to a new airfield will just count as a normal move, not a rebase action.

2. You can just apply the latest version.

It's been awhile. None of our resident experts know if this is possible or not? How it might be done?
Thanks!

Modifying Player Traits

Just playing around with my own mod. Is there any way to modify the EFFECTS of Player Traits? I know you can modify their COST in the Rules file, but was looking to modify the effect. EX: change elite reinforcement limit in "Green Army" from 3 to 2, etc.
Thanks!

Re: Bug Reports

Posted this in Steam, but here may be more appropriate: Ok, I haven't played for awhile, but has suppression been done away with? Since I bought the new DLC the suppression marker has been replaced with the blue "temporary damage" marker (all units) and a long description about how it's u...

Re: Operation Roland - a bit of a joke?
The point is quite easy. You want to be forced to play longer than the historical path requires (afaik historical correct btw).
This has nothing to do with the historical path, being "forced" to play longer, etc. Gee, why doesn't EVERY scenario have 2-turn main victory co...

Re: Operation Roland - a bit of a joke?

Again, missing the point. :? I am not aware of ANY other scenario in Panzer Corps history (1 OR 2) that you can win in 2 turns. Anyone know of one? The dev could at least PRETEND to present a SLIGHT challenge by making the main objective a non-trivial exercise. There are already several scenarios th...

Re: Operation Roland - a bit of a joke?

Understand wanting to make it "easy" to win the main objective, but it is so *ridiculously* easy it amounts to a throw-away scenario if you don't want/need to pursue the bonus objectives. That's just lazy design IMO. Yes more challenge on the historical route would be fine, but no one for...

Re: AO43 both campaigns finished - some feedback (and questions)

I finished the historical path and found it underwhelming. Getting the halftrack to safety (in two of the missions) seemed almost trivial. The ahistorical path was more fun. ... Re: AO43 both campaigns finished - some feedback (and questions)

Yes, I get the Green Army thing. I can (and have) accomplish the same thing by using "house rules" as to how/when I can get elite replacements. Nor was I trying to lobby for some kind of mandated solution. My point was simply that if the scenarios/OPFOR are designed with the assumption tha...

Re: AO43 both campaigns finished - some feedback (and questions)

Before I start Operation Roland how do I know if I have the SMG token from AO 1942? I certainly don't remember from a year ago. Hoping there is some file or something I can look in? open the shop, look at the infantry tab under captured/prototype should be 1 SMG unit. in the first mission of the DL...
