Re: Replacement 'equipment' file anyone?

If you really need to fall in love with AA guns in AT role, then play Africa Korps with only Italian units, the so called Graciano mode. There, the 90mm AA gun is the only possible way to crack British infantry tanks. Perhaps you try different tactics - like backing the 88s up with artillery. Italia...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #5

Now the dev diary gets really interesting ... Major and minor victories The faster you achieve successes on the battlefield (be it capturing flags, killing enemy units or forcing them to surrender), the more prestige you will earn for these achievements. And the final reward when finishing the missi...

I didn't play GC East, but only I played Afrika Korps.
For my experience- its good enought ballanced: attack and defence.
Yes, there is a good mix of offensive and defensive scenarios - and a couple of unusual ones, like in Afrika Corps.

Re: Soviet Corps Campain

It is absolutely playable and as balanced as any of the campaigns. It plays somewhat different, you should always study the victory conditions very carefully. It is defintely not more difficult.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

I have just finished Battlefield:Europe on medium difficulty level and General level. What a great mod. It was the first mod I have ever installed for PC and it was totally worth it. This is a great map, and a great scenario. Your work on the unit set is astounding. In some cases I was a bit puzzele...

Re: Future dev diaries

Learning more about units would be nice, especially once the graphics are ready.

Until then, what about the UI ? Are there any important changes about how I get my Panzers to do what I want ?

5) Give the possiblity to put notes within the game to remind you later. Never thought of this one, but it sounds like a useful idea. Can you elaborate a bit more - how do you imagine it to work? Oh, how I miss that, too. When playing several games, over a long time, I tend to forget whatever strat...

Coop mode Competitive mode What about competitive co-op ? I guess this might be pretty complicated, but I just thought about players on the same side fighting against the AI, but still competing for best performace, like Brits and Americans both trying to defeat the Axis, but still competing for re...

sn0wball vs yoky The game is decided, the winner is yoky ! He won with the Axis on turn 21 and with the Allies on turn 23 (with my Germans on the defense, hanging out in Kiew). It was one of the most exciting games I fought in this tournament. As the Axis I started agressively and very confident, th...

Re: AI improvement

I like the suggestions for making the AI less foolhardy. Also, as I have suggested in that linked thread, I would love to see an element of randomness. Advancing more carefull will certainly benefit the AI, but being predictively careful will still see it exploited each and every time. Perhaps the A...

Re: Suggestions, wishlist and ideas for Panzer Corps 2 gameplay

Alternatively, or additionally, you could offer useful maps during the briefing, maps which correspond to the game map and could include drawings and symbols to represent the state of surveillance. A group of at least 4 tank units here, a fortification at the bend of the river, partisan acivity from...

Re: Some notes on the dev diary

No but you could do it with multiple images. Let's say two big tanks represent 10 or max strength. Then one large with 4 small =9. Once you get below 5/half strength then you have the smaller multiples representing the strength. Of course you'd have to make an allowance for the over strength images...

In Panzer Corps I. terrain types dont play a roll (besides rivers, bridges and wheater as such)
It does ? Infantry gets a huge bonus in closed terrain, for example.

Re: Problem getting AA to fire

Does the machine use the PC version ? If yes, it is a pecularity of the interface. You need to use tab to switch between air and ground mode. In air mode, the AA will fire at the selected aerial target in range. In ground mode, it will move at the selected hex before firing.

Fantasy roleplaying games are another of my favorites. Gwaylare was originally the name of a Shadowrun character I used in the early 90s. She died very soon because of some capriciousness dice, so I am using her name now for more then 25 years in multiplayer games of all kind. So I am used to play ...

Re: New Difficulty Level for Grand Campaign

From what I have learned excessively playing in the early months of the war during the tournament, I really came to love Fallschirmjäger to annihilate any western infantry until the advent of British heavy infantry. I never noticed that before. On the downside, there is no cheap upgarde path from Ge...
