Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4

I just got thrashed in fall of 1944, playing on REALISTIC. The new version is really great, but I feel that it is absolutely hard enough. I thouroughly underestimated the Operation Torch forces, and then again those of Operation Overlord. Also, I had been expecting the Russian to be weakened by then...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4

Thank you for this update! This mod of yours is outstanding. It deserves much more coverage - if only Panzer Corps has something like Steam Workshop or Community Mods.

Re: Panzer Comics Issue #6

I don´t like killer team, as it is the collecting, team building aspect I like more in such a game. My favorite is certainly Perimeter Control . I have made much use of the tactical advantages this gives me, especially when combined with Deadly Grasp. This combo might make good use of Flexible Comma...

Re: Bug or no?

Thanks guys - just wanted to say that apparently the AI doesn't want to use friendly faction's airfield either. Just played dunkirk and 3 French planes nose dived instead of re-basing to a British airfield farther North. It´s the tea, is it not ? French pilots will rather walk home than to fly from...

Re: This game never ends... I suppose

If you just copy the modified files over your steam version, it does not interfere with your steam account. You would need to reinstall/repair the game to play the original again, which isn´t a problem through the steam interface. There are other ways, but this is how I played the mod and it was ver...

Re: Impossible Siege Video

2. Air recon also perform this function, for stacking combat bonuses. A hell of a lot more interesting than just flying around doing zero damage and looking at stuff like some kind of well mannered tourist. I was pretty surprised that the 88 in AA mode did not fire upon the recon plane. It should.

Re: Air units in PC2

Some of the tools at disposal would be to make AI redistribute fire across several units instead of always mass attacking the weakest one. I think it would be nice to have a switch for the AI to choose between maximum brutality and efficiency or long term campaign sportsmanship. In the latter mode,...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

I have taken a little bit more time against Tobruk. I use the 88 and the Panzer III to ambush the british reinforcements (the Mathildas), which the Italians attack the hex on the south, between the pillboxes, when you are backed by artillery the pillboxes are pretty harmless. The defenders reduce th...

Re: Air units in PC2

- With new slot system, you might be choosing between buying a single top-end plane, or two inferior ones. So, it is a less obvious choice than in Panzer Corps. Although weaker planes will be more vulnerable, they can attack 2x more targets in a single turn, launch mass attacks on the enemy etc. - ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

I think you may only need a repaired Kriegsmarine in case you go for Operation Sealion in 42 or 43... That´s what I am trying now. April 1942: London has fallen. It only diverted about 20 ground units ... and ALL air units. Still, I have no trouble to keep the channel free of the Royal Navy. london...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

My strategy is as follows, I've kept it consistent over the years and found that this is the most successful strategy: 1. Immediately surrounding Tobruk. Bring in the Italian air reinforcements from near Malta and start pounding away at the Allies with artillery, air, and coordinated attacks. Romme...

Re: Replacement 'equipment' file anyone?

If you really need to fall in love with AA guns in AT role, then play Africa Korps with only Italian units, the so called Graciano mode. There, the 90mm AA gun is the only possible way to crack British infantry tanks. Perhaps you try different tactics - like backing the 88s up with artillery. Italia...

Now the dev diary gets really interesting ... Major and minor victories The faster you achieve successes on the battlefield (be it capturing flags, killing enemy units or forcing them to surrender), the more prestige you will earn for these achievements. And the final reward when finishing the missi...

For my experience- its good enought ballanced: attack and defence.
Yes, there is a good mix of offensive and defensive scenarios - and a couple of unusual ones, like in Afrika Corps.
