Nice, I like to see Sassanids in action. Looks like the Late Roman player needs some Palmyran allied support, forget the Goths. Fight Cat with Cat.

I would really like to see a video of the game played. There are no other folks around here that play Ancients, but me. I'm studying the rules to start demonstrations at the local gaming stores. A video would be alot of help.

I'll have to order a copy since I've got Sassanid Persians and Late Imperial Romans. I guess both lists are in that book. I might have to wait for 'Decline and Fall' for the Late Imperial Romans circa 6th Century AD. If by Late Imperial Romans you mean Early Byzantines then yes. Late Roman (Dominat...

I saw the movie "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" a few years ego which gave me interest into collecting an Ottoman Empire army. I'm so happy they will be covered in the new book coming out. I collected Late Romans when the group I was playing with were playing Palmyrian versus Sassanid...

The smaller the army points the shorter the games tend to be. It could be an advantage if the have very little time to play.

Today I dug into the hidden corners of the several locations of "miniatures to paint....someday" stacked in my basement.....THEN, there is the stash in the dining room. I have begun to paint (I am ashamed) my Lizardman army  .....MOST of the minies ARE plastic. There'...

I wonder if you can do different types of Ottoman armies like a Janissary host or an army of nomadic horse archers with local vassels.

I am also growing tired of waiting and waiting. On the plus side, I am now caught up with getting my bags of Old Glory barbarians painted. THAT means I am now looking for stuff to paint. I am actually starting to dig down into the stacked up, back log of "I'll paint them someday minies" I...

If you are going for a Central or Southern African skin color, you can mix black with purple as the base coat and then dry brush different shades of brown. I learned this when I had painted a Zulu army many years ego.

Nice to see you again, sorry about the late reply. I think great minds think alike! It's to bad you didn't stay in Tucson. Are you playing FoG in 25mm or 15mm?

I'm a fairly new with FoG, I come from the WAB camp. My armies are already based. Has anyone here tried making movement trays for conversion to the FoG format? Any recomendations on the pros and cons. I'd like to avoid any pitfalls before I start this massive project.

I prefer to mount 25mm figures before I paint. I just don't like getting any terrain material I use when basing on figures I've spent a bit of time painting.

My armies are: Late Romans, Sassanid Persians, Late Holy Roman Empire, Ottoman Turks, and Italian Renaissance army of Genoa. I've a Celtic a...
