I would be happy if I could just see the kill count for each of my units during the deployment phase.
plus the heroes somehow simple in the unit name... :|
Well, for the heroes in the name, you can just rename the unit.

Re: How has the A.I been improved ?

If you program like Stockfish for chess, with all the rules, then yes. But if you program like AlphaZero, then no. Just let a massive AI self-thought program (playing against itself a few million games) going, and you'll see what AI can do. Glad that you are at least fixing the obvious ones.... Thi...

Re: How has the A.I been improved ?

[/quote] Chess is not more complicated than Panzer Corps, on the contrary it is much easier. There are many reasons for this: very small game board and number of pieces, very simple rules, lack of uncertainty in combat calculations and fog of war, all this makes it pretty trivial to calculate variat...

Re: How has the A.I been improved ?

Take a clue from chess. Even a half-decent computer program can beat a very good human player and the top machines can eat the world champ for breakfast. Chess is a much more complicated game than PzC... Can't you teach the PzC AI to avoid the stupidest mistakes like blindly attacking a unit backed ...

Re: Unit traits and hero abilities wish list

Units should have different stats depending on the direction of engagement. I've always thought that if a unit attacks another unit from the rear, the result should be much more favorable for the unit attacking from the rear. This has been the case since the Greek hoplites all the way to modern tank...

The next dev diary is currently being prepared.

We've been gearing up for an internal milestone which rightly takes precedence.
Fair enough, but, plain and simple: is this ready for Xmas?

I'm exhausted and concerned

This has been a rollercoaster. The game was announced on March 8 2017 - more than year and a half ago! It was slated for "2018", but we have never heard any timeline. It's the end of Sept. There was a glimmer of hope with 3 dev diaries, but things are dying down again, with only a handful of ANY pos...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #3

Well, this is an interesting question. The thing is, the AI in Panzer Corps is programmed to choose different strategy in different playthroughs. For example, at the beginning of a scenario it chooses its level of aggressiveness randomly, and also picks random order in which to fortify his objectiv...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #3

The new AI is designed and implemented with random maps and random campaigns in mind. This means that it cannot rely on AI scripting at all. It must be able to figure out the structure of any map on its own, achieve any kind of scenario objective and try to prevent the opponent from doing the same....

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1

There is a lot of discussion about graphics here. Fine, but ultimately, who cares? I'm more interested in two things: 1) Is the AI going to be smarter? One of the most frustrating aspects of PzC was the clueless behavior of the AI, which after some practice could be ridiculously exploited. A good co...

Re: What content would you like to see in PzC 2?

If there is ONE thing that would improve replayability immensely, it is a dynamic/varied AI deployment and to a certain extent OOB (although historic OOB at a macro level should be preserved). Why couldn't the enemy do different things each time?

Re: Developers should show something new

You do realise games can be developed sometimes for 5 years or even more before release, right? 1 year of development means nothing if they announced the game in very early stage. So be patient, fix your OOB and go enjoy it while waiting for PzC2. I don't care if it's 1,3, or 5 years. I think it wo...

Re: Developers should show something new

Just a bit more patience guys, please :D we'll have something to show very soon. This is becoming somewhat ridiculous. The game was announced almost a year ago and there are no timelines for the launch. I like to pick a game and then stick to it for a considerable time while mastering every detail....

Can someone report when the Mac version actually WORKS. Having been burned by OOB, I don't want to deal with a game full of bugs.
