Re: Warfare 2019 Theme

A great FoGR competition this year with an interesting & varied range of armies. Thanks to all my opponents for challenging but fun games. Thanks to Ben for acting as rules umpire when needed. Much appreciation for efficient and prompt running of the games over the weekend by the organisers, especia...

Re: Warfare 2019 Theme

Re: Warfare 2019 Theme

Nik, trusting that you will use the following 'interpretation' regards Cavalry on making a CMT which was applied at Devizes and the Oxford rounds the this year. Per Ben Jones: Currently Cavalry on making a CMT and if in a line, ie one deep, can make a 180 degree turn, move up to 2MU and then make a ...

Re: Campaign 2019

Keith has done the first round draw. He has kept the 4 Burton players apart for the first round but rounds after that club will only be used as a tie breaker. Its: Wayne Charlton - Early Gustavan Swedish 1630 v Chris Beesley – Swedish – Weimarian 1640 Ray Boyles - Later Swedish 1695 v Bob Medcraft –...

Re: Campaign 2019

Traditionally we had held 5 games at Campaign to fit the 3 person-team format. This continued when we had 6 individual entries as it enabled everyone to play every other competitor. However, we now have 8 competitors, well over half of whom have a preference for only 2 games on the Saturday. So I ha...

Re: Roll Call 2019 27/8 April

Taking Tim's point about 25mm FoGR now being on offer at Campaign I did not pursue my lobbying for 25mm at Roll Call. Indeed everyone would not have been happy with either. I have just taken the 6th (last -TBA?) ticket. Ray

Re: Roll Call 2019 27/8 April

Noting that FoGR is listed as 15mm for Roll Call next year, Dene & I at Burton who are both building up more 25mm armies are particularly disappointed about this. I have contacted the 'usual suspects' and have ascertained that Ben, Bob, Lynette, Simon LRM, and this Keith are entering and would happi...

I would like to echo what Brendon said with particular thanks to Bob & Ben and to Dave Hutchby for the splendid prizes. Not forgetting Patrick, whose average curassiers were superstars on Sunday! Well done guys.
