Re: Different skins

Beautiful skins! Thanks terminator! :D

It seems, that the "randomized pixel overlay" over the main skin brings additional color harmonization.

Do you use also GIMP for these effects?

Re: Some Decorations and Terrain I'd Like to See

God damn... Ok, now It's clear. Could be, that the final look to transform the new 2D terrain into a beautiful 3D overlay is hard coded and for every new terrain someone has to make a new hard code, that brings grass, barbed wire, swamp or a simplified border line into the right location and directi...

Re: Different skins

Looks really great! Thank you! :D I try also to experiment with the skins... The skin function above the unit model is tricky, so the side of the units are mirrored, if you want to put a special sign on. Especially the British vehicles in Afrika got a three color scheme like this: http://www.slither...

Re: Some Decorations and Terrain I'd Like to See

Sounds interesting!

Is it possible to make a "Step by step" explanation how you make the new grass tiles and in which way these tiles implemented into the "graphics machine" of the game?

It could be a start point for others with drawing program knowledge to create additional overlay features... :)

Re: Add a New Commander - Step by Step

A few days ago I made a picture for a new commander. commander_Gavin_raw01.png Upon completion, I noticed that the original pictures in the game always look a bit grainy. How is this effect achieved? Since I use the graphics program GIMP, I tried something. In the GIMP there are the functions "Carto...

Re: Some Decorations and Terrain I'd Like to See

In PanzerCorps it is relatively easy to adjust the map surface with a mod. As an example, I made barbed wire and a border shield for myself, which must be placed on the respective terrain layers and could then placed on the map using the editor. Test_07.png In OOB it seems to be a bit more complicat...

Re: Add a new scenario to a campaign

Last night was very exiting... I tried out to add a scenario to an existing campaign and with the help of this topic and the nice "Campaign Editor Manual" it works fine. Thanks for making this! :D Neck breaking moment was to add the outcome points to every scenario at the "branch tree". You h...

Re: Some Decorations and Terrain I'd Like to See

Like that topic and content! How about these add on's: -trenches I like the "sandbag function" as an indicator for entrenchment level, but deep look trench lines could bring an additional war feeling on the map. -barbed wire See trenches. -state border signs/lines Start a war mostly begins with viol...

Re: Design & Modding Guides

Maybe it could be interesting for other players too.
I think "Admiral Horthy" is a good reference, because he made some nice new units with his mod.

Sometimes we should make a "Step by step" explanation...

Re: Gameplay Bug Rising Sun Java Sea Scenario will only progress as Defeat at end

I played this scenario again and now it works fine!

Same goes with Pearl Harbour. First try it was a Defeat despite all battleships were sunk.

Good job with the new patch 8.5.6! :)

Re: (WIP) Allied Airborne Campaign

Those are some of the more famous commanders popularized by the media. Of course I can simply go down the list and add division generals like Mathew Ridgeway and Fredrick Browning, but if any of you have some ideas let me know! How's about General James Maurice Gavin, the "Jumping General", 82nd Ai...

Re: Add a New Skin - Step by Step

I'm experimenting with new camouflage colors for tanks. For the English vehicles, the coloring does not work for all vehicles yet, but it works fine for the Matilda II tank. Are someone interested in using the famous 3-color camouflage especially for the "Desert Rats" or "Arika Korps" campaign? I tr...

Add a New Commander - Step by Step

In OOB it is interesting to assign a commander to units (land / air / naval) in various scenarios. With this commander you can assign certain bonus combat values to the unit. How do you assign a new commander? As a little guide for me and also as a supplement for the modding guide, I have made a s...

Re: Gameplay Bug Rising Sun Java Sea Scenario will only progress as Defeat at end

Is it right, that with the new patch 8.5.6. these problems are solved? I played this scenario last week and my four transport ships were offshore at the 30/31 round... Outcome was also surprisingly "Defeat!". I checked today the install directory of the game (Steam) and in the Japan campaign and the...
