Re: Buildings Strategy??
I must be a bad/lazy player. I've never specialized a region. Broad strokes all across the realm. It's more fun for me that way, kind of role playing a caring, sensitive ruler - like Antigonos or Seleukos. I try to eventually get three of all types of buildings in every region, then concentrate on g...

Re: Pyrrhus Scenario
spoiler, don't look below if you want to learn by experience: Make sure you have appointed your top defensive general to your main army in Latium. Then be patient, let the enemy come to you. They are aggressive. Meanwhile, immediately build up your army. It's a short scenario (unless you decide to c...

Re: New Website Issues
Yes, that solves the problem. Thanks. Never knew about the zoom feature for webpages. I use firefox.IainMcNeil wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:35 am
GWGardner, if you zoom in you can fill the screen. Most pages are this kind of width and you just adjust the zoom level to make it work. Let me know if this helps.

Re: New Website Issues
Fully 50% of the website page is wasted blank space, on the two sides. Makes no sense. I am using 1920x1080 resolution.

- The birth rate subsidy slider is your friend. Adjust it often to manage your resource usage.
- ask your trade partners for population/citizen transfers (slave trade); that not only reduces their city sizes and grows yours, it will tend to lower Happiness in the other country.

Re: [Noob map] Centurion: Defender of Rome
Interesting concept. I look forward to your progress. I'm not a modder, so can't answer your questions. If you haven't already done so, look at the Steam workshop for Aggressors, and especially the 'Guides' section of the Community Hub there, where Cablenexus has done up three very in depth modding ...

I cou.d not identify any reason for the white area. It's all been explored jungle/forest, either part of my country or unclaimed.

Re: [MOD] Alexander the Great
custom map, Alex v6, get odd 'city of mesh' on strat map.
Is that something special to build?
Also, don't know what the white area on the strat map is.

Re: The Fabled Land, custom world occasional AAR
I played to 293, after getting the federations with two other factions, but was just hammered through all those 10 or so years by the Arduei. My resource picture never really improved, because all my possible trading partners were also getting hammered. Finally I clicked alt-a, to look at the map, a...

Re: Customized world.
Huge maps, normal terrain, normal resources, no starting development, despotism for all factions, few factions widely spread, easy or medium difficulty. That generally leads to a lot of time and space to develope before encountering other factions.

Re: The Fabled Land, custom world occasional AAR
Year 307 A year after the Ardueai federated with Valensiya, the Ptolemies have seen the wisdom of such an alliance against the Bosprans, and done the same. Still, we have only 3 iron mines and 4 coal mines. Trade is limited. Ability to build is limited. So it's going to be a time of consilidation an...

Re: The Fabled Land, custom world occasional AAR
A hundred years of diplomacy with the Ardueai has finally accomplished a federation. We had good trade for many years, good relations, but they stubbornly refused to listen to my entreaties. Finally, with Bospran attacking from the south into Ardueain territory, we succeeded. Almost 400 turns in, we...

Re: The Fabled Land, custom world occasional AAR
340 years into the history of the Fabled Land, and the Valensiyans have been holding their own, using trade to stay afloat, just barely, and fighting off primarily the Aduaeins. No other country will yet ally with me, beyond Brother-In-Arms. But now I am researching economical cities, and think that...

time representation mod - possible?
I just want to know if this mod would be possible; I'm not requesting anyone to do it: reckoning passage of the years from the founding of a civilization, rather than BC/AC? Example in the ancient med scenario, the mod would make the years count up from the founding of Rome. Another example, in cust...
