The Ostrogothic lancers overrun the Byzantine legions on the fields of Magna Graecia but at a high cost, 30 to 60.

Another bloody Gothic victory in Illyria, 44 to 63.

Achaemenids (Nijis) defeats Syracusans (paulmcneil) 41 to 7.

The Persian archers were quite grateful for a series of well-placed rough and wooded ridges that crossed the battlefield.

All right then! Well, just to supplement that, when you get the game to pause at your breakpointed line of code, you can mouse over variables in the same function to see what they currently are. Not that I can think of. The autorun buttons allow you to run 50-100 years fairly quickly. The Persian archers, with the benefit of high ground, manage to do enough damage to the attacking Cypriots to resist the phalanx in melee.

Sorry! I removed the code in question. The feature that was represented, and is still in the game, is for provinces in empires in crisis to not defend themselves. They'll automatically lose any battle unless there is an army there. The current function is public bool DoesNotDefend(Campaign campaign)...

Ah! Rival factions in a neutral province. They go away when one side intervenes. I don't think I had a code to make them ever resolve on their own. I can imagine that, with rebellions, if maintenance or income are changed they can become either very persistent or very fragile. I should probably have...

Each side overlapped on the right, and the Persian arrow-fire was effective enough that they rolled up their side before the Greeks could roll up theirs.

That sounds like a good system if you want a bit of variation in the Empires mode. For slowing things down, the easiest way to do that would be to halve income (thus allowing fewer operations), halve crisis accumulation, and halve influence accumulation. I can find the relevant functions if you need...

Some results for battles I'm in... Slavic defenders massacre raiding Gepids in the forests of the Vistula, 53-19. Their cousins in Boihaemum similarly defeat a Vandal attempt to migrate into their territory, 39 to 69. Not a good year for Germanic horsemen, at least not under my command. The Hadhrama...

Jomni - I'm having trouble starting our game, and I think I must have corrupted the mod file while looking at it a few months back. I re-installed Silk Road MP, v 1.6 this time, and set up a new game. Sorry about that.
