Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6

Hi Rudankort. The AAR thread and REPLAY is here, spoils of war is about halfway down. http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=145&t=81741 Astonishingly it plays exactly like a game of chess on a board with the recon as a standard (chess) tactical sacrifice to take and control the centre. The...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6

On the subject of armoured cars; in the GC DLC's there are two scenarios where if you deliberately sacrifice a cheap armoured car you can quickly dominate and do the scenarios VERY easily AND quickly. Spoils of war if you sacrifice one you get control of the middle of the board and the rest very che...

OR in windows you can use 'regedit' to alter the value in the registry that unlocks the three extra levels.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6

Actually its the ratio of units to map size. Hence the really big maps e.g. BFe although they have alot of units, in comparison to the map size are relatively low giving lots of room for creative thinking/alternate sloutions. Wheras the later DLC's are not as popular (as determined by the number of ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6

I love the idea of random generated maps. This will vastly increase the replayability and longevity of the game for single players. I also would like to know; 'what is the maximum map size' This will of course be determined by the strength of the computer. While I am sort of resigned to getting a ne...

Re: Tips for "Storming Stalingrad"?

The first thing to do is decide wether you want to go for an MV or a DV. If you go for an MV (,if carefull,) it can be done with negligeable losses and a very large boost to prestige (plus the usual experience gain). Replay here; http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=145&t=82744 If you go ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #4

I like the idea of being able to turn off the turn limit and not being able to 'harvest' more prestige which brings up another point. Many times in a scenario I would prolong it; not to 'harvest' but to finish it with LEAST losses overall to my army. There is a style of playing that is - 'bash throu...

Re: Difficulty

It starts to get hard in GC42 (vitebsk) You might like to have a look at some 'AAR's in the the AAR section of the forum. There are lots of people who at various levels (including myself) who have gone through the whole GC and have left replays or reports that give you an idea of the hardness levels...

Re: Upgrade Questions

When paired with a wurfrahmen they are superb at completely destroying partisans and enemy infantry behind the front lines, even strength 15 units with no losses. There are alot of scenarios with this in the later half of the GC and they are essential in some scenarios however you cant let them near...

I prefer siege. It can be done with very little losses but you still get the experience and kills from all the action.

Re: Status Check for GC

demyansk is an easy scenario which is very useful for racking up kills/farming heroes/getting surrender prestige. There is a bottlenecked killing field in the south and to a lesser extent in the north that they rush into to be slaughtered. The small size and predictable flight patterns make it good ...
