Construction bay, field labs, farms, mines need to have the matching worker attached to it ( Farmer, miner, worker, researcher)

Energy parks and air cleaner will automatically grant you their bonus

I beg to disagree :D

Alpha Centauri had some valid and interesting alternate victory conditions than just military victory, giving way more depth to the game play.

The devs mentionned once the problem was that the AI considered the cost of high tech units too high compared to the production rate of their cities, so it elected to build cheap unit instead. Not sure if this is the root of problem...? Could a dev tell us if they are looking into this issue? To be ...

No they only provide +1. You get +3 in total because you affect one worker to that tile who already provides +2, so for a grand total of +3. So pollution +/- (forests/fungus) is the only passive modifier that applies whether or not the territory is assigned a worker? The + habitat and + credit tile...

I think the best use of ships would be to let them automatically defend troop transport on the same hex than them, making the transport immune to all attack (strike ops included) as long as the boat is not sunk. This would solve the super weak transport problem and give a strategic value to boats. ...

Ships are rarely useful because you can always use planes to guard your invasion since the planes don't have to land. I completely agree, planes can do everything that ships can do, and are more flexible. I think ships should have the second strongest attack (aside from mechs). Similar to real life...

Try asking Boulugre if he likes artillery units... lol... Lol Apheirox, you still own me a game by the way ;-) Concerning this topics I always go for the following upgrades as I research them +25% attack or +25% defense Healing other units No damage when attacking successfully And that's about it.....
