Re: Roll Call 2019

Pete, what about allies? Do they have to be from book 2 as well or not?

Re: Warfare 2019

I’ve corresponded with Tim and he suggests that if you want to go email tournaments@wargamesreading.co.uk and let them know you are interested; that way if they have competitions that don’t sell well our allocation might be increased.

Re: Warfare theme 2018

Top three were: 1. Dave Ruddock (Medieval Swedish) 2. Pete Dalby (Aztec) =3. Phil Powell (Viking) =3. Graham Briggs (Syrian States) In perhaps the shock outcome of the weekend, it seems that Phil Powell won the mud wrestling match with Graham to get the third place trophy (according to the tourname...

Received mine today. Nice touch to include all of the previously identified errata. Well done guys! Great that we now have the full set.
Of course there could be errors in the errata; proof reading these lists made us all a bit word blind I think.

Re: Britcon 2019 - Proposed Theme & Timetable

The competition has run, under various rule sets, for twenty years as a benevolent dictatorship and that seems to produce good competitions I'm not sure there's anything benevolent (that is, good) in the catastrophic fall in the FOG player base, Graham. I am sure there can be a myriad of possible e...

Re: Warfare theme 2018

Just to confirm, we will not be using the new book 3 for Warfare. I understand Caliver are now able to take orders for it but it's too late in the day to expect everyone to have ordered, received, designed an army and got it to Tim for checking by Friday week.

New army list book 3

I've just received a promotional email from Caliver that says that book 3 is now available to order.

Re: Burton 2019 23/24th February 2019

The file info embedded in the photos from my match reports of Burton 2010 shows that they were taken on 20th February that year, so that would suggest Burton has been around these dates for quite some years now. Deans difficulties with securing a venue in recent years are also well known... Tim, ho...

Re: Burton 2019 23/24th February 2019

Right, so we now have two different methods of doing exactly the same thing. Which has meant that there has been miscommunication because somebody doesn't have access to one or the other. Who would have thought it? Well, not really. Badcon and Belgarum were on the same weekend last year too. And th...

Re: Burton 2019 23/24th February 2019

Have the dates for Venta been fixed? I can’t see anything on this forum about 2019 I’m looking to update the bhgs calendar in the next couple of weeks too, so if there are any fixed dates which haven’t been published yet it’d be great if anyone could drop me a line... Re: Britcon 2019 - Proposed Theme & Timetable

Really need to break down the options into separate bullets. We should be voting on such things as the period and the number of games, etc, not on a 'broadly speaking' distillation of thoughts from a relatively small sample of the player base. My vote is that we shouldn't have a vote on such things...

Re: Britcon 2019 - Proposed Theme & Timetable

Really need to break down the options into separate bullets. I'm agnostic about variable table sizes. Sounds like a lot of work for somebody I hate the early starts. After breakfast at the Pendulum please. Nine AM at the very earliest. I certainly wouldn't object to 9am, but have been able to make ...

Re: Pursuers in contact to side...

Any base in side edge contact with the front rank enemy base and those behind such contact. Max 2 It can move off, cannot turn as it is in overlap So in this case you'd get 1 dice as you only have 1 base in contact. As Phil said except a third option is to contract into a single element wide column...
