Raising a PaK 50 to 3* should be an achievement. How you managed that?!captainjack wrote:The SU152s are a pain to get rid of. Fortunately I've just upgraded some old PaK 50 to 3* Elefants, so they should be a little easier to now.

Re: Allied Corps Grand Campaigns
The desire is present to create an Allied Grand Campaign, but finding the necessary people to create this, is another issue. Don't forget that the Panzer Corps dev team is (very) small. It cannot be underestimated how much time goes into map/scenario making. Those who had the opportunity to test th...

Re: Prestige Soft Cap
Did a test in Prohkorovka. Result when ending with DV: Bringing expensive units to 1str at the end of the scenario - 4000Prestige for the DV Raising expensive units to 20str at the end of the scenario - 800 Prestige for the DV So it is in fact how it works - the final prestige is calculated using t...

Re: Prestige Soft Cap
If you were to deploy less core units than you were allowed would the amount of prestige you gain be increased? For example if you were allowed to deploy 40 core units but choose to deploy only 36 would you get 10% more prestige? Yes, you bring your soft cap down by deploying less units. But its no...

Re: Allied Corps Grand Campaigns
I think all of we that replied here are already a captive market. Knowing that, the designers might devote more time to expand their market by making more mass market appeal Corps-like games like Warhammer or even Little Pony's..oh wait i think they done that?!

Re: decisive victory and prestige
Its a good idea to always consult the campaign tree flowchart to see if you get an extra scenario for winning a DV. If not, then you can play way more safe by advancing slowly even if it means a Marginal Victory instead. That being said, im such a fool for glory and always try for the decisive no ma...

Re: Prestige Soft Cap
What the manual definitely is missing is the reduced freedom of core composition compared to Panzer General. While in PG - as the devs themselves stated correctly - a wide mix of approaches works just fine (from big wing proponents to tank fanatics, with or without arty) in my current experience th...

Re: Tips on GC42/43 West
Tips on netting prestige for Dieppe: 1. You dont have to win the scenario. Its only 200p for DV, 100p for MV and 200p for a Loss. But anyways it isnt too hard to win it if you go slow. 2. Retreat all forces and wait out the allies south of the city (retreat all the auxiliaries too). Let them take al...

This was very helpful: "by Resolute » 30 Mar 2014 23:14 These are my prestige numbers for 44/45 the last time I did the GC on Rommel: Start of 44 East including replacements ~22k Start of 45 East including replacements ~3.5k So this might give you some idea. 45 East is actually a lot easier then 44 ...

Re: Allied corps or Afrika korps
I bet that if a poll were done, Afrika Korps would be one of the best expansions for Panzer Corps while Allied Corps would be the least good of all of them. Personally I rank West DLC 42-43 and Afrika Korps as the best.

Re: Prestige Soft Cap
A Pz IV with strength 13 roughly equals a Panther D with strength 11 in cost, the latter being vastly superior mainly due to its much higher Initiative. Also using the Panther and Tigers even if not overstrength discourages the AI from attacking you, so you fight on your own terms which is more adv...

Re: units never used
Just reading the last few posts, it sounds like the Strats are mostly being used for ground tactical support. Is anyone using them for actual strategic bombing against production/prestige targets? Seems like the AI has infinite prestige and that wont make a difference. However, i sometimes use them...

Yakovlevo, DlC 43 East, first of the 3 Kursk scenarios, difficulty General. Without making a major mistake and with a mixed corps ("Only" 5 Tigers, 1 Panther, 2 Fw 190, moderate overstrength between 12 and 13 on all units, mixed artillery with still some cheap units, still 8 infantry brought to the...

Re: units never used
Strat bombers are the best units in the game IMO. Playing through the entire DLC for a 3rd time now, this time with 5 (14-15 exp) strat bombers, and it makes a huge difference. I eliminated 4 arty pieces and use the strats now instead. They are very good but are prone to bad weather. Artillery stil...

Re: Panzer Corp Difficulty
I play a difficult version of the game. Here are my rules and I find it quite enjoyable. I play on iPad. - Rommel - No disbanding units during deployment - Only 1 of each unit (SS count as a different set of units) - Ironman (no reloading ever and if you die you start all over) I'm starting from 42...
