Re: Please convince me this is different from Panzer General!

I find OOB better and more fun in almost all aspects, except for some campaigning aspects.

The campaigns are still a bit short and carry-over in the serial ones doesn´t quite feel on the money.

Re: Next DLC?

The Me410 outperforms the tac bombers overall, so again all fighters and maybe a strat bomber on occasion are a much more viable choice. I could "lurk" about with a tac bomber, but that is just not viable as it is too weak and gets insta-targeted even with a fighter escort. Interestingly this went ...

Re: Next DLC?

WarHomer: No offense, but to me this sounds like having a problem with bombers not getting a free shot. If your attack aircraft take severe damage all the time then you could try to optimize their use. In most scns the enemy is stronger early, later receives only reserve fgt, but not in the same nu...

Re: Next DLC?

I frankly don't understand the problem with "unreliable", esp. not when ppl post they don't use it - that means they use something else, and indeed, there are a lot of alternatives in the German arsenal (or in the US roster, if we include those Shermans). As for ES being fgt only - you *can* play t...

Re: Next DLC?

So you didn't like German GC - Blitzkrieg, Panzerkrieg and Endsieg? Here, every scenario was a big operation, so you were bored with it I suppose  I understand that Sandstorm is more suited to you, with these mini-scenarios, for example naval convoy battle or air attack on Allied trucks? F...

Re: Next DLC?

Red Army campaign part 1: 1. Dubno/Lutsk/Brody battle June 1941 2. Smolensk (Yelnya) July/August 1941 3. Moscow defense October/November 1941 4. Moscow offensive December 1941 5. Rzhev/Demyansk/Kholm early 1942 (it would be a really huge map :!:  ) 6. Timoshenko's Kharkov offensive May 1942 7...

Re: Next DLC?

Extremely glad to hear that there will be bigger focus on longer campaigns.

This really is the cornerstone of these types of games and I always find myself coming back to the longer ones and only once in a while to the shorter ones.

Re: Does simulating history matter in OOB?

I want fun and interesting campaigns with "what if"-opportunities. Otherwise I´d rather read a history book by Beevor, Hatings or another qualified author.

Re: Erik's campaigns

The latest changes to Afrika Korps have had some unfortunate consequenses I´m at mission 9 now (highest difficulty) and have more than 2500 prestige for both Germany and Italy. I´ve only done elite replacements and buy and upgrade whatever I like. I think this might have something to do with all th...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Just finished US 42/43. Overall great campaign and I cant wait for the next chapter. I had to give myself an extra 400 prestige from the start, but after that it played like a charm difficulty wise (highest diff). The first time you get to choose a path one of them doesn´t work properly. Unfortunate...

Re: Is E-100 spesialization still bugged?

Gabe, could you please make a hotfix with the E-100 available in the Antwerp-mission (where the spec says you´ll be able to buy it - 1/2/1945) and the Maus in the last mission (so we might actually get a chance to play with the Maus - 1/5/1945)? Sure, after someone finally says "please". Thank you ...

Re: Is E-100 spesialization still bugged?

Well, with the hotfix I´m now at the last mission (the one after Antwerp/Brussels) and can buy the E-100, which the spec told me I would be able to buy last mission. FAIL 1. Still no Maus, but I guess I can enjoy that in the next mission, no wait, this is the last mission... FAIL 2. And all this thi...

Re: Is E-100 spesialization still bugged?

Found it (in "content"), but it doesn´t work.

The E-100 cannot be purchased as described in the specialisation.

Im at the beginning of the Brussel/Antwerp mission (mission 14 i think). 1 FEB 1945.
