Love/Hate/Enjoy

Hi fellow generals, colonels and generalissimuses, while we all are impatiently waiting for 1941 to start, let's reflect on the most remarkable scenarios so far in the DLCs, literally: which one(s) you like, which one you hate (and why is it Ebro) and which one is fun to play. Hopefully, each of us ...

Re: Weird camo skins

Hi, has anyone faced with a similar issue? In the deployment menu, the skins look really weird - notice how blurred and 'smashed' they are, but in the 'playground' they are shown ok That looks to be the anti-aliasing anomaly after updating. Try fiddling with your anti-aliasing settings and restarti...

Re: T34/41 and T34/42

A few words about the naming conventions in WWII Soviet equipment. From around 1940 all the equipment was generally named in the form 'Acronym of the head designer(s) surname - model # or Year": Tu-2 is Tupolev's 2nd model Pe-8 is Petlyakov's 8th model PPSH-41 - is literally Sub-Machine (gun) Shpago...

Re: T34/41 and T34/42

McGuba, thanks for the context, I was not aware of the German naming structure. In КВ-1С, C stands for 'Fast' in Russian; the model was designed in response to complaints of RKKA commanders that KB-1 was too heavy and slow. The gun was the same 76mm F-34 КВ-85 Is another derivative of KB but with a ...

KV family production numbers by Chelyabinsk Kirov Plant KB-8 and KB-8C are flamethrowing tanks ** and *** indicates that some of these tanks received gasoline engines M-17 +++ Regarding T-34 production numbers - I am 99.9% sure there is a typo in a book - I cannot imagine that the plant (Zavod) woul...

Re: T34/41 and T34/42

While I like the idea, the problem is that T-34 was produced by 6 plants that used parts produced by various suppliers, so it's an easy task to distinguish the models/modifications as there are dozens of them. The clearly distinguished models are those by Stalingrad Tractor Plant (second from above)...

Re: DLC 1941 East Front ideation

Implying capturing moscow would bring a end to the war, Skipping kiev would mean more than 1 million enemy soldiers on germany army group center southern flank, I think a more interesting what if scenario would be germany concentrating on taking the caucasus in 1941 instead of wasting resources at ...

Re: Dunkirk and Valkenburg Raid in AO 1940

I personally highly appreciate such scenarios coz they force you to try something new. Most of the experienced players would stock up excellent Soviet arty and various prototype tanks already in Spain, not to mention in Poland. So without forced use of Para or AirForce, most of such players would de...

Re: DLC 1941 East Front ideation

First off, I want to say this was the best DLC so far, and I'm very excited for the next one. The individual scenarios were excellent fun, I loved that paratroopers were more viable throughout (something I thought was missing from many of the base game campaign). Having read the Steam thread and th...

Re: DLC 1941 East Front ideation

While I appreciate the vote of confidence, I'm still curious on the opinion of 'splitting' future campaigns into historical/ahistorical branches. And yes Scrapulous, I am aware of the danger of early splits causing titanic branching problems down the road. Which is why we are just talking about thi...
