Lookink for PBEM opponents

Back from holiday and i am looking for new opponents.

I am experienced, can play either side and any version of the mod. I don't play vanilla.

Re: BJR Mod - Looking for Play Testers for Potential Updates

Update package The above update package contains a change log file that lists the files changed and where they go. As always, please backup before copying over any existing files. This update package is incremental and requires that the original BJR mod be in place. See first post in this thread fo...

You are right. i try as well my best to keep manpower in the white...but it's impossible after you start offensive against russia. and once you get in yellow, it's more losses you have due to reduced quality. In land units the effect i think is counterbalanced by terrain, better tech and so it's doa...

yes, putting limits on what type of unit you can build is not the best solution. however the problem exists. Germany is limited by PP and oil so they can't build such huge airforce, and even if they build, they can use just for 2-3 turns and then run out of oil. Believe me, if allies just go for air...

I would like to explain the reasons for the following changes. 1. Increase the max German manpower from 858 to 1058. 8. Reduce the US production by 8 9. Reduce the max convoy value by 10 for the north Atlantic convoy and 20 for the south Atlantic convoy. 10. Reduce the at start tech in industry for...

1. Change the organization increases as shown above. This will temporarily increase the efficiency gap between Germany and Russia by 4 and encourage the Russian player to invest in general labs to boost his organization tech. 2. Reduce the Russian at start antitank value from 2 to 1 (then it's the ...

In vanilla, axis has advantage. It's harder to beat France, but very easy to knock out russia. The worst tactic russia can do is to defend on the Dnepr: i personally crushed as axis always that line of defence. When i see my opponent defending on dnepr i know i won the game. In BJR mod, it's easier ...

As i wrote you by email, i think you defended well. The armor on frontline allowed me to make 100P losses to russians (usually 12 steps to armor and 6-8 to air units) without even moving my armors for few turns just with air bombing. But it also delayed my offensive of 5 turns. if you moved out air ...

i didn't mean to criticize. just stating my opinion.

Maybe i understimate the risk of sealion in BJR mod. But i can't see how germans can do a successful sealion with all garrisons and 4-5 infantry UK has. And this doesn't stop UK from reinforcing a bit africa.

I look forward to seeing the battle of will in Russia coming soon. It's been very interested (and informative) watching you two battle it out so far.[/quote I agree and it proves a good Axis player can still win in the Med even under the Malta supply rule. So it shows that the Malta supply rule doe...

The problem is that africa with the axis restriction on units and the allies having "free hand" in sending as much as they like in BJR mod isn't a fun theater to play (both as allies or axis). Cause it's too easy for allies to hold Suez. There is no mistery, no surprise on what axis can do...

Another thought talking to 2 players i play with in BJR mod: why there is no restriction rule to allies in africa? in some games you see the allies having in 'late '40 and '41 6-8 infantry, 2 armors, 4 planes...i don't think that historically was that easy for UK to supply such army (at least before...

well, i would put an infantry in capital and keep armor behind the double line defence, ready to use it to kill a german unit if axis player makes a mistake. i agree that the more time you give france, the more expensive it will be getting to paris. in this game, for sure axis will lose 4-5 turns th...

Re: BJR mod - Malta rule

in case the germans take spain and gibraltar, does it still apply? historically, malta convoys were coming through gibraltar. There is no rule mentioning what happens when gibraltar is taken by axis. Good point. We developed the Malta supply rule loosely on a similar rule from Avalon Hill's 3rd Rei...

if you have no navy, i would worry about sealion.

don't put the armor on frontline, it will be the first target and killed.

some suggestiongs about changes (if possible): 1) why not lifting the rule of max 2 air attacks towards naval targets (not subs) not in port? while it's true that no air attack completely destroyed a land unit, there were plenty of cases of ships sunk by air. 2) is it possible to have a defensive bo...

i have a question: did germany ever make an attack which resulted in no kill of the target in this game ? i ask cause germans seem very "lucky" in this game.

Well, personally i was thinking this game to be won by allies after germany lost so many troops and PP in sealion. My idea was that russia would have taken the initiative earlier. I still don't understand how russia didn't manage to beat the germans: in BJR mod it happens almost always and in this g...
