Re: iPad release date?

Is the 29 Jan 2015 date on the Product Info page accurate or a placeholder? Fingers crossed former.

Re: No resolution change when switch screen

Hi Richard

Thanks for letting me know. I think I'll use the OPTIONS.TXT file to change to the right resolution out-of-game; it'll be easier.

Edit: saw that you can't use comments in the OPTIONS.TXT

No resolution change when switch screen

I'm running the game in fullscreen either on my laptop (1366 x 768) or extended display on a monitor (1920 x 1080). When I switch between displays the resolution doesn't automatically detect the screen resolution (makes trying to change resolution on the laptop difficult as can only see part of the ...

Re: First Impressions

[*]Lots of information shown - which is good - but not clear what it all means. Also not sure how the results shown in the bottom left corner box relate to hit losses. Is it planned this will be in the release or is it for debug? Can you please tell what parts of the GUI are unclear? We will look i...

Re: Tactical or Operational game?

Good move on having the NATO symbols for units - will be the first thing Grogs would feel comfortable with (and I'm one myself so can say it ;)) ; it gives the game a more 'serious' wargame feel. It's been mentioned that a unit icon can represent a squad, a platoon or a company - how can the player ...

Tactical or Operational game?

I've had a couple of sessions playing the Beta and really like what I've seen (about 6 or 7 scenarios in). There are events/effects within most of the scenarios I've played where I've thought 'Nice touch!' ... dodging aircraft, flamethrower effect etc. The one thing I am struggling with is 'What is ...

Re: First Impressions

- Highlight unmoved troops : we've implemented that, it's just that we don't explain it anywhere. There are two small arrows in front of each German unit : one green that shows it can move, and one red that shows it can fire. In the Tip boxes (seen in the transition between map and scenario) there ...

Re: First Impressions

Played first three scenarios so far. First impressions are ... Really like the look of the game Like the option for armour to break through wire Text too small on some items, in particular on the units showing possible (?) hits and also state (?) of unit so hard to see what's useful/important Lots o...

Thanks for the link ... I'd been trying to find out more about what had happened when it was originally mentioned. Interesting comments on the GamesIndustry site. And the type of story that gets you annoyed - a big company bullying a smaller company because they know they have more money to pay the ...

Drat! I've always wanted to be hot ... and now you're telling me it's better to be cold. Life can be so confusing sometimes. Of course it's worth noting that some unit types - those with good ambush values such as Scout and .50 MG & MG42s - have a better chance of remained unspotted (cold) when ...

Depends on the scenario and how gung ho you are. I personally take less than 10-15 minutes per turn on EVERY scenario, but then that's why you nearly always beat me..... I was actually underestimating the time it takes *me* to do a go! But I know I am a bit slow. I'll try and be a bit more speedy t...

What timezone you in MarsRobert? I've never played a game right through in a single sitting. Working the timings through ... say a MP game is 15 turns - as far as I know most are roughly around this number - with each turn comprising an Axis and an Allied move. If each move takes on average, over th...

Hi MarsRobert No criticism intended - as you say anyone who says they don't use save is being economical with the truth. I was just wondering if you'd found it was possible to do the tough missions through in one go with the 'intelligence' you'd got from the first time through. Not heard of 'Combat'...

The green arrow is OK for spotting the posts updated since you last looked, but what I was talking about was being able to easily see where the announcements/sticky stop - there's quite a few - and the user posts start. No big issue just some feedback :)

Another good read - thanks.

With the tough battles looks like you use save a lot to move through the mission. Do you ever go back try again from the start of that one to see if you can get it in one go?

Hi Iain / Pip Is it possible to split the announcements & sticky posts away from the ongoing user posts? Might only seem a small thing but it would improve the readability of forums if it was clear where the user posts started ... at the moment you have to try and spot where the last stick is an...
