Re: purchasing fortifications

Was totally unaware of JDD and I think that would do much to address. If that were available for Soviets I might actually try designing a Stalingrad scenario :-)

purchasing fortifications

I would love for scenario designers to have the option to allow the purchase of mines, bunkers, MG foxholes etc as part of initial deployment. Maybe even conduct the destroy actions that Engineers and other units can have. I realize this might require either use of CP or creation of a separate "Fort...

Bulge to the Rhine

Hey Erik, I have read numerous accounts of the heroics of various AT, TD, Engineers etc trying to stem the initial German assault and so was bummed out to see they will never see play. I'm curious to know what the rationale was for not allowing upgrades nor purchases outside of reconstituting destro...

can't Kick inactive player

Their handle turns red and I'm told they can be kicked but nothing happens...would really like to clear two dead games from my queue.

I've found that using the two-mouse button helps in avoiding wrong clicks.
You select the unit with the left button and select the location with the right button.
I have not seen this movement plot issue since pre 8.4.4.

but I don't want to move that unit there

I almost never plot movement of my units unless they have to travel a fairly long distance and I think the journey will be uneventful, yet since the May(?) update I am now frequently seeing units "ghost plotted" to move to locations I don't want them to move to. This has in some cases resulted in un...

Re: 2v2 Race For Tunis test-drive

No bugs noticed yet. I also regret to inform Erik that this is not only my first PBEM, but first game of any kind against an actual human opponent as I just started OOB a month ago.

well done graphic artists

I am new to OOB and just wanted to express my appreciation to the artist(s) who designed the all the headshots/avatars you can pick from in multi-player. That there are several to pick from for each nationality with some specific to ground/naval/air was particularly appreciated. Keep up the good wor...

developer cannot be verified

I just updated to 8.4.4 and am unable to open after getting a Developer Cannot Be Verified message. FWIW I am using Catalina 10.15.4 and tried a Restart.

Thanks also for the 2 v AI Market-Garden!

Re: rulebook?

Thank you and a plug for more Stalingrad. Some of my fondest gaming memories are playing an Advanced Squad Leader campaign focused on the Red Barricades ordnance complex in the heart of Stalingrad. I would happily pay $20 for more Stalingrad scenarios and features to allow for actions like sewer mov...

recommended hardware?

So I just started OOB on my 10-yr old Mac Mini (powered by hand-crank) and it seems to laboring with the graphics even when set on Low (flags shouldn't wave that slow). FWIW I have 8GB RAM. Welcome any thoughts re specifications so I can determine whether it is may finally be time to buy a new compu...

Axis captured all six objectives. Love the map but was hard to discern terrain type in some cases (clear sometimes looked looked buldings or other cover)

Re: B44 for BA2 - Multiplayer Campaign League

@cavehobbit...challenge posted! Good Luck  How do you know what settings and OB to use? I must be missing something. :-/ This one is just a straightforward battle not a skirmish. So once you've downloaded the file, you can set it up just like any other (but you need to select Allies to get...
