Re: 5th Victorian Napoleonic Champs 14 & 15 July 2018

A couple of late withdrawals but still an excellent (if uneven) turnout of 19 players. Anyone wanting to enter late or come down and play 1 game or 1 day to break the bye, please let me know. 3 players playing their 1st FOG N comp is good news showing we’re still attracting new players. Runners and ...

Re: Mxd Div # of Cv???

I believe the intent of the wording is you’re only allowed a maximum of 2 cavalry units in a mixed division. This feels right to me. I’ll discuss it with Brett and we’ll clarify the wording for v2.

The extra dice apply only against LIGHT Cavalry.

The POA bonus applies against LIGHTER cavalry.

Re: LCv Ext Line Inf Cover

Ah okay got it. Somewhat cheesy methinks. And risky as Brett says. With 8-10 dice you’re far from assured of getting 4 hits needing 5s.

Re: LCv Ext Line Inf Cover

I'm not sure I understand how you're getting both the LC and the infantry within 2MU and yet only the CAV get shot and still your infantry get to shoot? Maybe a diagram will help? It does sound like a lot of concentration of force in one area. What is the rest of the British army doing while you're ...

We weren't planning to put them out to the whole community but had asked for volunteers willing to contribute. Any particular lists you have a passion for? Great to get more energetic eyes across them.

Re: FOG N 2nd Edition - it's back!

Thanks for picking up those errata Jason. Very helpful It was good to see you at Cancon. Definitely expect you to be playing next year! Does that mean you will have to produce a 15mm army? Happy to lend you and anyone else one if that helps. I'll send out the army lists used to anyone who's interest...

Probably at this stage it's safe to assume they'll be as per the list guidelines used at the last Melbourne tourney. 8. Turks For all Ottoman (and Mameluke) lists, players can choose to either (but not both): (a) Use the classifications contained in the v1 lists; or (b) Use the classifications conta...

We will be using the v2 rules with the lists adjusted for the v2 changes (but not wholly re-written). The event will run over 5 rounds as follows: Frida...

Re: Emperors & Eagles Army List

Hi Jason, I would say if the list restricts you to a max of 8 bases of artillery, then that restriction still stands for v2 (although I can't see where that's written in the Allied 1812-14 list). And actually, we find people still tend to try and max out on artillery attachments in v2, even at 14 po...
