Handy Tip

I've discovered that if it can help it the AI won't let a single city, fortress or whatever be empty even if it isn't in any immediate danger.

I'd also recommend setting it so that quality and survivability boosts need 100 experience in the general file.

Re: CWII Beta Patch 1.01

That's a fine list of changes. That's what I like about not getting a game right away; it can be patched a fair bit and then once the patch is already out you can get the game and the patch in the one day.

Re: Civil War II releases on the 151st Anniversary of Antiet

While there's a lot of great features in this simultaneous turns is the best. The Commander series has its merits (detail and moddability) but apart from the AI (too easy in Europe, too hard in The Great War or maybe that's just me and the AI alone has dealbroken both games for me, unfortunately nob...

"Not the other JC" no being the internet I don't suppose it would be. Anyway I'm glad the Emancipation Proclamation can be issued so quickly, it's certainly one of the first things I'd intend to do as well as getting to work on Scott's Great Snake.

Re: Developers' Diary: Ageod's Civil War II

As if I wasn't excited enough all these features are getting me even more excited now. I'm ashamed to admit that the graphics alone put me off the original ACW.

Samhain Mod

This is a great and sadly virtually unknown game and I hope there's some big drive to get it sold again with this mod of mine but unmodded it's too easy to win even on balanced so I present my mod which makes it both more accurate and more difficult. Pointing out what hasn't changed would be quicker...

I saw a screenshot on the website or something and on one part of the map it said something in Latin. I hardly know any Latin but I just know it said Here Be Dragons. Nice touch. :)

Re: Ageod takes you back to the Civil War

It looks pretty good and that's a big attraction as every other civil war game I've seen has had either OK or not great graphics. A WW1 game last year and American Civil War this year, it just gets better and better. 8)

Hopefully in this unlike in Wesnoth the odds calculation will actually be accurate. It really ruins a game if chance is the heart of it but the odds calculation is off.

Re: Ageod takes you back to the Civil War

Finally an American Civil War game I think I would like. I've been interested in the American Civil War ever since I bought Pharaoh at a bazaar sale (funnily enough there are bazaars in Pharaoh) and a demo of Civil War Generals 2 was on it.
