I've replied else where but didn't realise this was your main post so ..

The floating damage numbers have had absolutely no love yet at all but will be addressed. As with many things, functionality is developed first and then we make them pretty.

No work has been done yet on the floating damage numbers so they WILL be improving.

I think what this thread shows is how little many people are even aware of the concepts of copyright and interlectual property rights and the consequences of breaching for a company like Slitherine. For example, copyright will only lapse 70 years after the death of its author. Even a CC type license...

There is a bug in Unreal that meant the extra brightening given to the units was causing a chronic flickering. That didn't matter when all we were showing was stills. As soon as we had to show animation we had to remove it since darkening of the units is not as offensive as irritating flickering. On...

They're based on older minis and relative sizes are not necessarily exactly accurate. the figure body proportions are deliberately squat and I doubt arrows as thick as ours would ever fly from a regular bow and as for our boulder throwing slingers ..

The graphics were developed with an old (going on for 10+ years) i7 950 quad core @ 3.07Ghz on Windows 10 with 24Gb RAM (32 but its Windows Home) and now an GTX 1060 3GB . It's the Archon engine and has been used for a number of games.

The only one I can remember now is Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach, though Pike and Shot, Sengoku Jidai and Battle Academy were built on its predecessor.
