Re: V2 Hardback. Poor quality, poorer customers service
stenic It's good you have had a replacement, shows they are looking after you. My copy of v2 book has felt strange from the start, the pages don't really want to stay open. If I force it then I guess I will have the chance of breaking the binding at sometime. Anyway for feedback to Slithereine the bi...

Re: Godendag - 19th & 20th January 2013
Have I missed something within the forum? Is there a way to print out the RR lists in a good fashion when they are imbedded in the page? In general can RR's be uploaded in an excel sheet so people can print them out. My eyes are going so I have to increase the text size, so an attachment that I coul...

Re: FoG Rules 2.0 Now Available as Printed Hardback Book!
I was surprised it is mandatory that you have to give Plimus a phone number.
Its a case of give me your phone number or we won't sell you a book.
Surely an email address will be enough for such a small transaction.
Anyway they got my number.

Re: Derby Teams 6th/ 7th October
Ladies and Gents, My planned team fell apart when their partners pulled the plug on Martyn and Andy, so I am now going cap in hand to join a team for Derby please in the FOG AM compeition. I'm happy to put an army into either of the three periods although would prefer the latter two. If any one is ...

Re: ARMY LIST CALCULATOR
Olivier created the builder as an individual effort.
I expect there is not enough value in list builders.

Yeah maybe Dave, the smaller table may work, but if v2 was the answer I’m not sure people would be trying to change the table size. I will go with the flow anyway as I enjoy the weekends. My view tends to be fixing the balance of the troop types, but I can see the option of reducing the playing area...

Wouldn’t 900 points just give the pin and punch armies more punch if they wanted it? I’m not sure that more troops on the opposing army would really change the battle scenario a great deal. Is the reason to change the table or army size to reduce the effect of mounted manoeuvrability and potential t...

HI All, Documentary Film of UK National Wargames Championships at Britcon 2011- Manchester. In fact M60 TV is offering to take your advice and on how this should be filmed, so the person who puts forward the best filming idea will be given the opportunity to help direct that particular scene at the...

Deploying Stakes with other bases in combat
Can bases of longbow in a BG which are NOT in combat or overlap deploy their stakes?
While other bases of the same BG are in combat.
The answer seems like it should be no
but it would be good to get some clarification.

The real problem is very few people play a realistic roman army, with a few exceptions no roman army was made up entirely of superior legions. Average protected impact foot swordsmen have a chance against average armored swordsmen, almost none against superior armored skilled swordsmen. Add to the ...

Roman BG’s of 4 bases probably works in the Roman favour as well as the skilled sword and superior. They get it all. I can see the reasoning behind reducing Romans strength by taking away the skilled sword. Personally I like the variation it adds to the game and I like to see Romans strong. Only in ...
