Re: Battle Academy: Team Yankee
I would also add that a certain set of hobby gamers are mighty enamored with the concept of monster games and or smaller games where you still manage the direct control of all of your units with varying levels of generally fairly unrealistic omniscience. WEGO as it is implemented currently in some g...

Re: Battle Academy: Team Yankee
I think I get where your criticism of the way CM and Flashpoint Campaigns work is coming from given your post in another thread. I think WEGO is a great concept that is used poorly in video games - most developers don't understand how military decision making is done within a chain of subordinate co...

Re: Battle Academy: Team Yankee
Sigh, everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess. FC has both strengths and weaknesses. It is arguably a more complex game than BA and I think most here would agree. Other computer games in this space I guess would be Armored Brigade or WinSPMBT (although that is not just a Cold War era focus...

mountain on map edge overlap mosaic border - minor visual observation
This really applies to 1.5.32 as well and is not game play related but is just a visual thing I noticed https://i.imgur.com/cifqmzw.jpg Mountain gfx overlap and cut through the mosaic border if near / on the map edge. There probably isn't much that can be done about this and it is certainly not what...

That is quite a visor!
Dang did a good job with managing the Ottoman Cavalry in the Mohacs scenario despite my attempts to bloody his army.

Re: Field of Glory II: Medieval is coming soon
My understanding is that they hope to extend it out to 1500 presumably with a number of expansions. Look at the tabletop books and FoG I for an idea of the range of armies that potentially will cover.

Re: Battle Academy: Team Yankee
A introductory level beer and pretzels Cold War Era game in the BA style could be a lot of fun. Although we do have the groggier stuff like Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm to look forward too as well.

Re: Pike and Shot 2
It is a favorite period of mine. So yes a P&S 2 would be a lot of fun. As would a horse and musket focused game. Pretty sure they plan to get the FoGII timeline out to 1500 AD done before doing anything else. My understanding is that after the Medieval game + expansions we might see more content for...

@Swuul There have been a few HYW games FYI Montjoie! (http://www.montjoiegame.com/en_downloads.php) and Great Battles Medieval to name two. Has anyone done a super in depth study level digital wargame of the conflict no not yet. Also not a slitherine game and a rather wonky title that got a mixed re...
