Re: Field of Glory: Empires - Persia 550 - 330 BCE is now available

This is a silly question, but do I need Field of Glory 2 Immortal Fire (or even Rise of Persia) DLCs for Field of Glory 2 in order to export battles from FOG Empires Persia into FOG2? I have many FOG2 DLCS, but not these two, but I love the export battle feature.

Many thanks. I hope to see more of these come online, especially P&S and SJ. Mare Nostrum and BA2 would be nice as well. I am really excited.

Order of Battle Multiplayer Skirmish Cannot host

Hello. I am trying to host a skirmish mode game in Multiplayer. I understand certain countries with no real navy cannot play island or ocean maps. However, I cannot seem to be able to host any skirmish game. I select a faction, select a compatible map, say continent for Nationalist China, and then c...

Re: Join the first Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach Tournament!

What games does this automated tournament system set games up for? I would very much like it to work with some older games such as Mare Nostrum or Sengoku Jidai. Even Battlefield Academy Series would be nice.

Parthian Wars Scenarios are broken

Hello, Just got around to getting more of the AJE series, previously having played BOR and Hannibal (which is terrific). I've gotten AJE for the Parthian wars scenarios, but after install, it seems the parthian wars scenarios are broken, with gibberish when you mouse over and a crash to desktop if y...

Re: Can we get more India?

I support this, maybe have China be the new border (part of the realm on map, rest off map like with Maurya currently). We already have excellent Silk Road OOBs for most of the countries there.

Re: Cavalry and Battle Frontage Solution

Perhaps we can take another leaf from the systems in the classic and great game Great Invasions by AGEOD designed by Philippe Thibaut (so same company, different designer). POCUS is great too, but Philippe did create the classics. FOG Empires has a very similar nation aging and decadence mechanic, e...

The proper reaction to wanting to play more turns is to issue or accept more challenges, not to pressure the opponent to do more turns.

Re: Problem of Byzantine complexity.....

Looking at the lists you have way more shooters than the Byzantines do. While their cavalry can somewhat shoot, you can mostly ignore the 50% bow guys since if they are shooting they are not charging which is right where you want them to be. Foot shooters should win pound versus pound versus horse s...

Re: 500 AD global campaign - Year 512 battles are up

Back at the computer, looking forward to the new campaign, and I would like to say great battles with all the players (mostly Jomni). We had some real nail biters. I think looking back, we probably should have crammed the players closer for more insane action. Whether that means losing provinces, or...

Re: 500 AD global campaign - Year 512 battles are up

I'm going to be away from computer for a while, so I would like to have Liang moves and battles auto resolved or have someone sub for me. I'll be back in time for 516 battles, either taking up Liang or another nation.

Re: The development of firearms and proximity to nomads

That is a beautiful rifle, and thanks for the information. I know matchlocks, flintlocks, and wheelocks, but never knew about the snaplocks and its related cousins the snaphauces. The technology backflow from Russia to Mongols make a lot of sense, and the artwork in game does show a relatively moder...

Re: The development of firearms and proximity to nomads

Thanks for the responses. I would think reloading on horseback for matchlocks to be a very dicey proposition, even if moving at very slow walking speeds. I mean several steps have you holding a lighted match burning on both ends on one hand and your powder being poured on the other. If there is a bu...

The development of firearms and proximity to nomads

These games are Sassanids (Standard Nerd) army to fight Hunas client in Dahae Sassanid vs Caucasian in Stepp...

Re: 500 AD global campaign - Year 508 battles are up

Thanks for reporting the game Jomni. That was very well played turning manuever on your part. I have to rethink future tactics and deployments to try and head those off. We're beginning to think Cataphracts and armored cavalry do poorly versus masses Crossbow armies like many Chinese lists. I have t...

Re: Early Antiquity?

Thanks for the responses. One theory that I favor was that Chariots were a way of using small, weak, horses unsuited for cavalry. So the theory goes, you either need a cavalry trained and bred horses (large, good for charging European horses, or smallish, high endurance, good for long term riding mo...
