Re: A wonderful Roman dagger is restored

I am going to guess that was owned at some point by a general or a very rich man.

Re: On skirmishers

Exhaustion also plays a role in determining whether a skirmisher/archer provides support during melee.

Re: The Rally Point (discussion and questions)

Five turns taken, seven generals killed in action :( Bear in mind that KIA is not necessarily KIA as you may assume. Sometimes it simply represents a severe wound such as a leg or arm or nose cut off. As long as they are still breathing, there is a possibility of recovery and you may yet see them a...

Re: Multiplayer blitzkrieging thoughts

but they pay a premium for them just like Rome. I suspect it would be a fairly easy mod to add inflation costs to other nations besides Rome and Carthage. In the Units database, an inflation cost would need to be added to the MoneyInflation column BZ. Make a copy of Units Database and make the chan...

Re: Multiplayer blitzkrieging thoughts

In one game I have a 2 or 3 month old message sitting in my outbox, despite that player still being in the game and having been told he should check his PMs.
Hehe, yes.

Multiplayer blitzkrieging thoughts

I have seen several blitzkriegs by large and not so large countries in multi-player. In each case I have seen, the game play has been set on balanced and each blitzing nation (Antigonos, Seleucids) has lacked a counterbalancing nation. It appears on balanced game play that a big player such as Antig...

Objective expiration

Is there any way to determine the turn in which an objective will expire and be replaced by another objective region?

Re: What do you hope to see added before Fog II ends?

I would like the ability to remove flanking armies when playing the AI. Too often, troops show up on my flank just as things get interesting and instead of finishing off my glorious plan, I end up aggravated.

Legacy and Elephants

- In Patch 1.04, it states that "Regions have 4 steps in culture generating Legacy". What exactly does that mean? I assumed it meant that a region would generate extra legacy as culture topped certain levels with a max of 4 or 5 legacy per region. However I am only seeing 1 legacy point generated pe...

Re: Comments on peace treaties and other deals

Second, as the previous poster noted, manpower and metal are already present in superabundance It really depends on the nation you are playing. For example, Ptolomies are short of both manpower and metal. Just had a major long term war with Maurya in which limitations in both manpower and metal put...

Re: Nations most played and most interesting

My favorites are the Ptolomies, Rome and Carthage. And all need different strategies. My most difficult and challenging nation has been the Seleucids. Some of the smaller nations have been fun too like the Cheruscii, Britonae and Celtiberi. Again different strategies for the smaller nations vs large...

Re: Multi-player unexplained peace?

I got a note from Aethiopia this morning and they didn't offer peace either. It makes no sense for us to offer peace at this time. So looks like we just had a major duty bug and peace just fell out of the clear, blue sky. Well 10 year truce.

Multi-player unexplained peace?

In a multi-player game, myself, Ptolomies, and my human ally, Aethiopia, have been in a knock down, drag out war with human controlled Maurya. As the war slowly moved in our favor, suddenly there was peace out of nowhere. Myself, I did not receive any offer of peace nor did I accept a peace deal nor...

My older computer struggles with FOG2, basically unplayable, but doesn't have a problem with FOG Empires. So if your computer will play FOG2, FOGE should be fine.
