Battle of Anzen 838 AD (Multiplayer only)
The Arab Caliphate invaded the Byzantine Empire in 838 AD with two armies. The northern army, led by Afshin, advanced to Anzen (Damizon) where it was confronted by the Byzantines led by the Basileus Theophilos. The Byzantine attack was initially successful, but faltered when the Arabs committed thei...

Rome: Velites and Light Horse only?
It is 79 AD and I'm playing as the Macedonians. I'm in my second war with Rome and resolving the battles in FOG II. I've fought three or four battles where the Roman armies are composed entirely of Velites and Light Horse, and this is not just in hilly or mountainous terrain. The last battle was in ...

Battle of Marcellae 792 AD (Single Player)
In 792 AD the young Basileus Constantine VI led a Byzantine army into difficult terrain to battle the Bulgars near the border fortress of Marcellae. The Bulgar Khan secretly deployed part of his troops behind some hills on the Byzantine left flank, and attacked after they had advanced past them. The...

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
Thanks. Isn't there also a text report on the BSOD somewhere? I forget where. Will ask Pip. I used BlueScreenView (https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html) to open the file. Here is a pdf view of it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4dvxcxc9v28fvoi/Crash%20List%20062318-9484-01.pdf?dl=1 kilroy

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
It didn't find any corrupted files. I've had two more BSOD, one in a match with Henniak, and another with U5555. I can post the minidump file for the latest BSOD as well if you think it will help. Thanks. It very well might. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sfdlldx0mjrttzu/062318-9484-01.dmp?dl=1 kilroy

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
BSODs can also be caused by drivers and low-level software conflicts. If it's during the upload, I also think it might be related with network drivers. Make sure they are updated. I have the latest drivers according to Windows Update and I checked the manufacturer's website as well. I also ran: Dis...

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
It isn't a notebook and I haven't had any heat related issues with it. I built it approximately two years ago. I occasionally play Armored Warfare and Titanfall 2 which are much more stressful on the computer and I haven't had any trouble when playing them. The computer sits on top of a desk so that...

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
The BSOD were in games with Antonis1984. I just played two turns in a game with u5555 and then two turns in a game with Antonis1984 with no problems, not even a failed to upload message. I haven't changed anything on my end.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
I have been getting the failed to upload messages as well, but today I got two BSOD when I tried to upload my turn. This was during a Glory of Persia Tournament game. I restarted the computer and played my turn again (with nearly the same results) and got the BSOD again when I tried to upload the tu...

48. Reconnaissance before a battle is extremely important. When bringing Heavy Chariots to the field make sure the stream running completely across your front line is not deep.

Re: Armored Horse Archers
Out of interest what is your view on Kaveh Farrokh's new book from last year The Armies of Ancient Persia: The Sassanians ? I'm slowly reading my way through it and so far he portrays them slightly differently from the usual wargaming lists (I spent all my money on mini kickstarters so no dlc yet)....
