Slower animations and Battle Log

Enjoying the Prologue (to the point of purchasing the whole deal) but would really like an option to slow things down a little. Currently you can increase the speed of the animations but not reduce it. I find that often a lot of AI units act so quickly that I loose track of what they have done and t...

rougedjacks AI overhaul mod

I have downloaded both of the modules within the game.

The campaign, Rise of AI, works fine but the custom battles module, within Epic Battles, does not function.

I have deleted it and re-downloaded several times, within the game, to no effect. It simply won't work.

Re: roguedjack's AI overhaul mod

The custom battle module, although technically available, simply will not work - select it and nothing happens. Maybe a corrupted download. Delete the custom battle module and download it again. I don't think you can delete custom battles modules ingame you have to do it manually : delete the folde...

Re: roguedjack's AI overhaul mod

Downloaded both modules within the game. The campaign one worked fine and a quick trial battle on level3 (ancient Brits v Romans) proved very tough, with the Roman AI noticeably improved and giving a very good account of itself. The custom battle module, although technically available, simply will n...

Number of posts.

Not a big deal in the great scheme of things but I'm curious as to why my post count has remained static - at 247 - since 2009?

Re: battle Review after Turn ended

I think this is a good idea. It would allow the player to more closely examine the battlefield and the on-going situation, between turns.
In effect, allowing a certain amount of pre-planning subject, of course, to the actual unfolding of events in the next turn playback.

Yes, that one caught me out with my first turn of round 2 (FoG tourney II).

Had to redo the whole thing and on a different and more difficult map.

Re: Please add yourself to this PLAYER LOCATION thread

I think this forum could do with a FOGII 'Player Location' stickied thread to keep track of where in the world people are playing (helpful for multiplayer games and tournaments). Simply copy and paste the whole list along with these instructions, each time adding your own name and location in alphab...

Definitely in favour of anything that adds replayability to 'historical' battles.

Re: LF Archers vs. Cavalry

I agree that the player already has too much control; the existing system works really well.

If anything I would like to see even less control over units that are out of command range,

Given that this is due to start tomorrow, should I have received some notification at this stage?

Have checked emails and in-game but not sure what to expect.

Re: How to play with horse archer nations?

I've just completed a battle, Parthians v Romans; so pretty much all horse archers. Also had some Cataphracts and some medium infantry. I managed to win by concentrating on the more vulnerable Roman units on the flanks with the horse archers, while gradually pulling back the cataphracts and mediums,...

Ah, just noticed that the original battles are bundled together under a 'Rise of Rome' module - when you click on that, they come up.

My apologies for a false alarm.

Epic Battles, as supplied, deleted by community battles

I used the in-game facility tp DL the community battles and campaigns.

Campaigns were fine but all of the existing epic battles have disappeared from the list of those available.
