A Usurper or not a Usurper?

I realise this may be cosmetic, but what do you think? In one of my games Carthage went into civil war, ultimately Carthage Usurper won and the original Carthage was defeated, lost all cities and units... However the Carthage empire is still called Carthage Usurper. Generally, these usurpers claim t...

Re: Dip. Update: Description/Manual Update??

This would really be welcome. Since the update I've conquered regions and had transaction requests and haven't figured out whether what's being requested is good, bad or ugly. I decided to experiment with a counter proposal and having changed the offer to something a little more favourable I couldn'...

Re: Manpower question

Change of leader that goes from a manpower bonus to a manpower reduction? I'm seeing this from a Mauritanian perspective. I had a change of faction leader whose traits give me something like -30% manpower and now I have to quickly disband a third of my army (whilst in a fragile peace with Rome) or r...

Re: Is Sparta unplayable

Sparta isn't unplayable, it's just designed not to win... as it is meant to reflect history in so far as the Spartan mentality was designed to limit it's population growth which in turn limits its army size.

Winning with Sparta is survival... for a while.

Re: Multiplayer blitzkrieging thoughts

One thing I will say is I have no idea how a Britonae player or someone playing on the periphery is supposed to have a chance, let alone players on minor nations. The way Legacy works with the current victory system should mean that by the time one of the barbarian nations has really gotten going, ...

Re: All skirmishers target the same unit (latest beta)

I'm playing a new game as Arverni and both times I fought two unit opposition all my skirmishers targeted the same unit (5 or 6 skirmishers). This is within the first seven turns. I'm expanding west. This hasn't happened when fighting more than two units. Edit: happened again against a two unit opp...

Re: Provincial Unit Cost

I'll try to get an example with screenshots. IT should be relatively easy to recreate. Create a load of units, get them killed or disband them, then the cost should revert to the initial cost.... or not!

Re: Alliance: Is it working effectively?

I think this might answer your question, from the manual. If you have an alliance and relations are 50 or less, it will be treated as a defensive alliance. In this case you will defend your ally if they are attacked but will not join in a war they started. If it is over 50, then you will support th...

Provincial Unit Cost

Is this working correctly? The game implies that these get more expensive the more you have in the field. However, it seems that they are getting more expensive irrespective of how many are in the field, it seems to me that they get more and more expensive with each deployment. This means that ultim...

Alliance: Is it working effectively?

In a number of my games I have alliances with an AI controlled region and I'm wondering if the alliance is working correctly? In a couple of games I'm allied with Rome and I find that when Rome is attacked, or when Rome attacks, and I thus become engaged in a war I can essentially ignore it. I get a...
