Curious to see how this will turn out. Even more curious as to why you don't invest in general/industry as the Brits. Do you rely on the convoys so that you can prioritize other research spending? Makes sense to me.

I think the answer depends on how effective your opponent is in attacking convoys and troop transports with subs. If so, I'd rather use strategic bombers for anti-sub duty. If limited sub activity, bombs away on oil producing cities first, rail cap and high PP targets second. Being fairly new to thi...

I'm currently playing my first PBEM as allies and would take up your offer if it still stands. Am also playing three games as Axis, none have completed yet, so I'm fairly new at this game, though have played war games for years going back to Avalon Hill's Third Reich board game. You can email me at ...

Thanks for the speedy response.

This is as I thought, but I did not want to learn the hard way if I was wrong.

Fate of allied units when country surrenders

If the British are helping Spain against Germany, and Madrid falls, my understanding from reading the forum posts is that British units stationed in cities survive. What happens to British units not stationed in Spanish cities? If a fighter is stationed at the Gibraltar airfield, will it disappear w...

Thanks guys.

Yes it is in the GS mod. Fortunately the game was not too far along.

Good to know that one password will work for all games.

PBEM password

I've forgot the password I created for one of my PBEM games. Is it saved anywhere in the game folders? I've looked in the obvious places, like the data folder, but do not see anything to indicate storage of passwords.

Regards.

I decided to install 1.04 on one computer, and 1.02 on another. Reason I asked in the first place is that like Supermax I have an ongoing game and my esteemed opponent elects not to upgrade. So while I understand the check sum error message, I'm honoring my opponent's request. Still curious as to wh...

I too would like to know if I can play GS 1.02 and GS 1.04 on one machine. If I install the CEAW Gold to a different folder and apply the GS 1.04 patch, will it run? Can I create two folders in My Documents (using Windows XP) to keep the data files separate for the two versions of GS Mod?

Regards.

.data

This has probably been posted elsewhere (a search function on this forum would be quite helpful) but I've found in one of my PBEM games the turn my opponent sent did not have the .data extension on the turn file. So when I tried to load the PBEM turn the file did not appear in the list. I went into...

Does anyone know if the AI suffers for the lack of PPs if the player is bombing its cities? From reading other threads it would appear the consensus is that the AI does not suffer from lack of oil the way we players do.

Unit cycle buttons

One of the games I play has hot keys that cycle through all the land and sea units which allows one to identify units which have moved or not. Is it possible to add similar keys? Sometimes I forget to move a unit, and it isn't always easy to see the flashing icons of units that haven't moved. Regards.

Hello and thanks for all your good work to improve the game. I'm a little confused though as to what happened to changes 38 through 53? Been following the change log in the 1.03 betas and there seems a gap between the two posts below: GS version 1.03j beta (incremental) update. 3-16-2010 36. Changed...

Germany attacking Switzerland

Hello, New to the game, and to this forum. I like the game very much. Am playing the Grand Strategy Expansion Upgraded to v1.02 to get the hang of the game mechanics before diving into PBEM. One thing I've noticed is that the Axis AI seems to be drawn to DOW Switzerland before France falls and gets ...
