Re: Fatigue

Fatigue is abstractly modeled already. These were men who marched all day carrying a lot of stuff - marching across 10 'squares' (600 meters) wouldn't wear them out. Fighting is another story, of course, but a lot of units don't engage in much fighting a lot of the time, standing and waiting in the ...

Re: Heavy Weapon anti-armour effect revamp

Hmm I guess I'm not sure how I feel about giving HW an advantage over similarly armored Spears from a unit to unit standpoint - 1) Did separately deployed units of mostly axemen even exist? Or were they always an attention grabbing minority of a largely spear armed unit? I'm thinking about the Spear...

Re: Heavy Weapon anti-armour effect revamp

A reduction instead of cancellation could be good, though it might require changing some unit costs. I think one of the main items of importance is making sure that, in a clash between two equally armored units in which only one has heavy weapon, that that unit still gets some benefit from wielding ...

Re: ZOCs blocking break-offs.

I think light infantry and cavalry are well balanced already, and would be opposed to a change in their interactions

Division A SnuggleBunnies (Jewish Revolt 66-135AD) defeats hidde (Parthian 250 BC - 225 AD with Seleucid ally) 60-29 The Jewish army suffered heavily from Parthian mounted archery, but broken ground and irrigation ditches offered enough protection that they eventually carried the day in furious hand...

Re: What do you hope to see added before Fog II ends?

For me: 1) Replays. To analyze my own play, share replays back and forth of particularly great games for learning and entertainment, and for casting. 2) Addressing the "lights blocking Fall Backs" trick 3) After FoG2 is done, presumably with Biblical, Crusades, Hundred Years War, etc., Pike and Shot...

Division A

SnuggleBunnies (Jewish Revolt 66-135AD) defeats klayeckles (Arab (City) 300-633 AD with Sassanid 591-628 AD ally) 58-30

A battle decided by the terrain - lots of rough, difficult slopes, and enclosures allowed my infantry to maneuver in the face of enemy cavalry and elephants.

Re: Chaos Tourney

I enjoyed the crazy matchups. Thank you for organizing this. My only suggestion for next time is that you as the organizer roll all of the matches and list them, to avoid potential rerolling and to ensure that the proper filters are off when setting up. I also think mirror matches would help people ...

Re: Please don't make me come and get you.

The depth of the deployment areas can't be too small or there's no room to deploy multiple lines of troops with sufficient gaps but otherwise limiting the deployment area like that wouldn't do any harm in my opinion. In ideal situation the limits of the map should have no role in the battle itself....

SnuggleBunnies (Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202BC) defeats MikeC_81 (Roman 199-106 with Greek allies) 54-24

After much skirmishing, the armies ended up meeting on basically flat open ground, but the Carthaginian elephants proved decisive.
