Re: Panzer Corps 2: 1940 - Dev Diary #1

It also works in the other direction. The creators of Wasteland 3 decided to release their game at the beginning of September, in my opinion not quite ready (it was rather a Beta version) and were heavily criticized by players on the Steam forum. It seems to me that the attitude of the Poles who cre...

Re: Bf109z and He111z Implementation

It's not my prob this time, I always play without prototypes. CP Prototypes is very, very different from the Prototypes granted from the player trait. If that's what you're referring to. If so I support Adiekmann, not to much of this wunderwaffe  However I hope I won't be forced to play with ...

Re: DLC 1941 East Front ideation

I'm all for actually being able to prioritise the capture the power station at Volkhov and then fighting my way to the (rather beautiful and slightly Roman) central square in Leningrad / St Petersburg and taking a tour around the Hermitage. If you haven't yet been to St Petersburg, go. If anyone ca...

Re: What if we had such a Grand Campaign?

Ok, it's interesting but I noticed some errors: 1. MAP - why Finnland is tha last? This map should be before Denmark 3. MAP - no Pripyat marhes but Dubno-Brody battle and instead of Stalin Line there should be Uman IMHO 5. MAP - Monte Cassino and Gustav Line are the same battle, maybe Gothic Line in...

I'm glad your skins made it to The Crate, Kondi, good work! :)
Thanks Gabe, it's your merit, because you mobilized me to sit down and show what can be done with some textures found on the web. :)

I wonder how could I have missed such a thread :?:
Unfortunately, I'm testing the UoC2 Blitzkrieg now, but later I will play in 'The Big Red One' for sure 8)
There was great 1979 movie "The Big Red One", played by Lee Marvin and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill)

Very nice. Does anyone know how this works on the technical side? Is this a bind material/shader replacement or simply an overlay texture for a given 3D model?
I'm not an expert but it is overlay texture IMO

Re: fantastic book of US Troops pictures

It's true
A nice idea would be a Mod + 'Gebirgsjager campaign' using only planes, mules and horses as transport.

Re: fantastic book of US Troops pictures

Thinking about pictures of soldiers, and reading about the death of Sean Connery (who as far as I know wasn't a soldier in reality but did play one) reminded me of Christopher Lee who died a few years back and actually WAS in the UK special forces during WWII. Makes me wonder if an image of him mig...

Tet is mostly urban. the South is guerilla, base control, search and destroy... Air mobility, art support, air support... fast reaction motorized units... the like. It can be a real long campaing. The Trail... Arclight, Rolling Thunder, Linebacker... Challenge to the scenario editors. Would you fin...

Re: Different skins

Many of those 1930-40ies trucks came in variants with solid top, and canvas-like soft top. Example: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/92/White_666_1941.jpg/600px-White_666_1941.jpg So the cab is open from the top and this yellow one is just a tarpaulin/canvas :) Like in Jeep Wi...
