Right now - not recommended. The game is brilliantly developed, but not finished/polished (big time). Wait and see if the author at least acknowledges bug reports and promises fixes (or explains why those aren't bugs).

Can't say I understand the code, but the question was about the lack of any visible "overtime-unhappiness numbers" on any screens.

I'm also experiencing a huge problem with that "hidden" moral decrease. There is nothing shown in any of economy/planet screens, but the production is decreasing. Could be designed as a feature, but undocumented and not shown in stats is a very annoying bug.

It's interesting that you are strongly rejecting almost all the features that had been added lately to make the game more challenging, and you are not alone. I don't have the stats, but if you are not a minority - the author had "made a wrong turn" about a year and a half ago.

You are talking about stealth modules and stargate tunnels, so it has to be relatively late in the game. I think the only "ultra corvettes" you can meet in an early game belong to pirates - turn them off (than starting a game) if you don't like them. Building more than one scanner (of the same type)...

Just build a Battle satellite and 3 (it's important) radar stations in each system. Don't forget to upgrade the satellites from time to time. Expensive, but doable.
Satellites will protect you against stealth bombing. Radar (long range scanner) stations - against sabotages.

Just uncheck the "External Threat" the next time you start a new game. In my opinion those Theoshians as annoying as their name.

I believe Vladimir said that AI does slightly cheat with fuel, and it can't be avoided for a technical reason.

If you set this to false, the planet will rely solely on it's own produced resources. Usually this just quickly brings a planet to the revolting state, because of lack of food.
