Re: Armored Horse Archers

In addition, I am not sure evading was a normal Sassanid tactic using massed shower shooting. It wasn't. The Straegikon specifically says that unlike the Turks the Sasanids did not wheel about (or some such similar turn) and then return to shoot you. That they can do so is a weakness inherited from...

Re: Late Roman infantry bows

That makes sense. Thanks! I'd be curious to know why late Roman foot was rated light spear and not defensive spear. My impression was that they fought in ranks are were primarily used defensively. Maybe it's because they represent the transition between 1-2c Roman offensive infantry and later Byzan...

If they get snapped up fairly quickly there may be a chance of a few more being made available later - happens sometimes.

It isn't an "if" he takes an allied general, one is compulsory in the list.
Not if we made the selection of an allied general *1-3 He'd then ignore the minimum requirement

Re: List Errata

Yes I agree, I think we probably missed the asterisk off of the ally. Terry? It would be more sensible to put the asterisk on the allied commanders rather than in the allied list. That would leave Cassivellaunus with no compulsory warriors. If he took an allied general it would seem reasonable that...

On the assumption that what is meant by the Badcon rules are the FoG:R updates, they can be found via the BHGS site here - http://www.bhgs.org.uk/fogr-tournament-rules.html

That "if" may prove to be a large one.

However, I have great hopes that there will be a list or two in Book 2 that will allow you to dribble incoherently about

FoG:R army list updates

Quick heads up for you all.

Having now more or less sorted out my conundrum about bayonets for the Habsburg Austrian Imperial list in Duty & Glory I'll be reissuing the list update document shortly to cover this.

Will post when it is done, obviously :D
