Re: Oxford events 2019 - Sunday April 14th ECW

Thanks Tom. Looks like a reasonable mix of armies so should be interesting!

Re: Oxford event Sunday February 10th - European Rebels 1514 to 1576

Thanks for the bonhomie on Sunday. I am seriously considering dumping all my dice and ordering a new set in time for the ECW round in April! Tim's privateer reminded me I must finish my Buccaneer Army sometime - would be good to find a way to get a tournament game involving that period (I think Tim ...

Re: Making Poles work.

Thanks Ben I suppose that sort of makes them historically accurate in terms of their main enemies (Ottomans) and Allies (TYW style armies) for most of the period. Any body got some 800pts lists for Poles they are willing to share so I can get a feel for the "balance" others went for (notwithstanding...

Re: Tournaments 2019

Is there any update on there being a FOG-R 15mm at Britcon (isn't listed on their site)?

Re: Renaissance Army Generator Error

Is Beta 8 still the version we use for competition army list prep (I have seen an 8b going around)?

Re: Oxford events for 2019

Looks good to me, hope to make all four competitions! I've just got to see if I can cobble together an army for each round from my existing forces! Hope everyone had a good Christmas and Happy New Year of Wargaming for 2019!

Re: Making Poles work.

I have always been a fan of the Poles, and recently "dusted off" a few units for an OWS refight of Vienna 1683. I am thinking to rebase the rest during 2019 to have a regular FOG-R army; especially as there may be a chance to put them out for the Sept 8th OWS Late European Armies (inc. Ottoman) even...

Re: Oxford events for 2018

Hi Tom

Yes it works for me as an OWS "regular"! Was keen to try and get as many definitive events (SL or others) in the calendar in advance to try and plan my other commitments around being able to attend as many as possible.

thanks

Re: Oxford events for 2018

Alas I will not be able to make 21 Oct for the 25mm ECW event. On another thread I saw a draft list of 2019 FOG-R Competitions which included a mention of an April date for an OWS ECW event (assume 15mm). Do we yet have a list for Southern League FOG-R events in 2019 (as son may seemed to be cancell...

Re: Extended move - routing enemy unit within 6"

I've always thought it an odd one, but guess any body of troops (formed, or unformed) is likely to impede movement and command - so the blanket rule applies to all, but might be worth a look at for the next rule errata/revision.

Re: Battle Wagons

I never saw an update on this thread or elsewhere. I am dusting off and repurposing a Polish army to FOG-R basing and rules and was wondering about bothering with the Battle Wagons. Are they much used? And was there any clarification to this guide on treatment of the Wagons? Thanks

Re: Battle Wagons

Well I'm just waiting for some paint to dry so I've put this list together: Pete Dalby’s Incomplete Guide to FoG:R Battle Wagons P22 Battle Wagons are ‘Foot’. P42 Battle Wagons may not be part of a ‘Division’. P57 Battle Wagons must pass a CMT to carry out any move, whether simple or complex. P61 T...
