o my next/final attempt will be to bite the bullet and exchange all the random stuff I added to the combat script for fixed values. Do you have the old values from 3.4 still? Presumably they would give you a base to work with (changes could be highlighted easily with the 'compare' plugin on Notepad...

The rail_travel.lua is used for railroad-pathfinding. So, what were the changes you made, forbid rail movement for the AI entirely? That of course would severely weaken the AI. Are you experienced with lua? Any help would be most useful as four eyes see more than two, especially when it comes down ...

I installed it... are we meant to be hosting the 1914 scenario (your game) or the Potzblitz 1914-18 scenario (my game)? I had a quick run through as the CP... "beginner" my ass, it was all over by Winter! I chose to attack West with "Schieffens legacy"... game was on a knife edge & Paris was besiege...

Standard Entente run, CP surrender in March 1917. No bugs, no crashes. Started a run through of 5.1 as the CP... I chose the official war plan Ost this time. I had a number of crashes due to diplomacy issues (if I'm reading the logs right). I'm REALLY enjoying this mod! I'm currently playing in SP & have had a few crashes as the CP. I've attached (or hope I have) the logs & save game of the current game...it crashes whenever I press end turn. I've also had problems with the game crashing when I sank a British Battlecruiser (in port)......
