you can make some easy changes yourself! just open the general.txt file and go down to research and set the max labs and cost increase to whatever you want, and this will reduce research by either making it more expensive, or have less labs available, or both. actual # labs available is modified as ...

vs human not ai u should have 13 labs (its less vs ai set to advantage)

its pretty unstoppable russia cant build enough labs to counter it in time - maybe they can win still - not the point - I dont care if i win as axis doing this - its boring and unrealistic way to play.

Research

Does anyone else think that research can be done far too narrowly? At the maximum of 13 labs, the axis can purchase 7 armor labs, which means incredibly advanced tanks by the time of barbarossa. I would like to see a limit of say 3 labs per area, with the old 12 lab limit reinstated - this would go ...

Yes you could mod the graphics I believe, though note it depends who attacks! If the Axis attacks, most likely the allies would have helped them by sending air and tanks - so maybe the graphics are not so crazy, and if the Allies attack you will see the Me-109 and Pz IV graphic instead.

being a PG person myself it takes getting used to, but it requires different tactics and strategy is all - once you get the feel it is just as valid and works better for this scale.

They probably have strategic tech increasing their range! Level 1 tech in strategic operations adds +3 to your range

I suggest just looking at the tech tree from inside the game - click on the button on the left and you can see what each advance does in each area.

I would be very interested in an expanded version with two theatres - Europe and Far East - connected in a world war. You could then switch between maps, and units could go from one to the other using the loops. If each Map were the same size as what we have now, we could also slightly scale the W-E...

I cant say I always know the best way - but now I think the central drive is most likely best, because of the fact the AI does not defend the ME well you can get enough oil there.

Its hard to detail at length - I usually do fairly broad tech research and max labs out - a few early ones, then max out by barbarossa. I usually do: 2-3 in Infantry, aty focus 3 in armor - usually balanced, then switch to armor focus 3 in air, dogfight focus 2 in navy - sub focus 2 in general, indu...

They are there, but it is just a matter of luck and remember all that portion of Russia like the Baltic States and Poland is not actually Russia, so Partisans do not generate there, just in Russia proper.
