Well I can tell you this - as the Allies in some PBEM games the ships do a little bit of damage - one or two hits, soften em up, then maybe your forces who naval invaded can hurt them - that combined with some air strikes. In France, you really kill them because you can combine naval gunfire, air at...

Look I would like Diplomacy, but you surely get how that would be a pretty major overhaul, right? Think of all the ways that systems like that can be "gamed" and how much time and effort and programming it would be to add it in. I mean who would invade Uk anyway, already a game-risking move, with th...

Iain, It would also be nice if we knew: Axis vs Allies - who won? This will help see if the game is balanced, and also - victory level, which can help get people to play through.

Well I posted a win as allies - opponent resigned. I thought it was a fun game, but he did not. In any case, it was interesting. The Axis made a very bold attack right through the Ardennes on a narrow front very early - late 39. He bypassed Netherlands. However, with stalwart defense I was able to c...

yes it was combined into one effect for simplicity. It could be adjusted at some time in the future for a more realistic mud & snow system, maybe.

I agree - who the hell has so little time they can't finish one damn game turn all the way through? And if you get interrupted, so what? It doesnt go anywhere - it ain't realtime. Saving in the middle of the turn is a useless and counterproductive feature.

I think it may be an error - I told Johann he will look into it - doesnt matter too much anyway because it was a real major pain to have no PP for 3-4 turns!

Go the general script and it tells you how that affects the convoys - yes it will affect them, in fact it may even affect the Russian convoys I cant recall.

You get 50% of the oil and PP value, which means that: Oil x 50% x War Effort % x3 PP x 50% x War Effort % No link required. So if you control Mosul (4), you would get: 2 PP at 100% war effort 6 Oil at 100% war effort I DID account for Synthetic Oil in the off-map oil supply for Germany. However, in...

since they don't know where you are, try to strike when their ships are out of position. For example, even if they protect the North, if they follow it home they may be out of position when the new one pops up - you can hit it, then get out of dodge. Or, attack with only a couple of subs and leave a...

Uk would have shipped most of its oil from the USA. The Middle East Oil supplied the med fleet and forces there, and most of Iran went to Russia. USA made 50% of all the world's oil during WW II, maybe more. I am not sure what people are doing with their oil, I don't usually have this much of an iss...
