Re: Germany Grand Campaign

Erik, regarding the Blitzkrieg 41/42 campaign (I'm still playing the split campaigns, but it shouldn't matter, unless you fixed it already): At the "Novoanninsky" scenario I could buy the Waffen-SS II spec., giving me 18CP for the Waffen-SS (I know this being still discussed if it's a bug or not). A...

Re: Waffen SS II specialization bugged

OP, having 18 CP and 6 RP per turn is much better than what you're asking for (which would hardly even be worth it). The amount of RP you want per turn doesn't even make sense for 12 total CP. You would get just twice the CP, but *5* times the RP per turn! What we get right now for the specializati...

Re: Panzerkrieg-Onto the Plains of Russia! (Review and Discu

As to commanders, this may be no help at all, but I remember that since playing WinterWar in higher difficulties, I'm used to switching my commanders to different units on a turn-to-turn basis, as I can deploy and undeploy land commanders within one turn (except air commanders). I'd do this for tact...

Still unfixed bugs in v5.2.3/64bit

As already mentioned in this thread: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=264&t=80802 there's a bug in the imported core forces (tested importing cores from Blitzkrieg to Panzerkrieg DLC), that hasn't been fixed in the 5.2.3 patch. Basically you can disband the imported units prior to buy...

Re: Beta - 0.2.8 - Battle of Tallinn - Updated

Tallinn 0.2.8 *may contain spoilers* Being the second time around makes this scenario a lot easier, chosing my own core and with the withdrawal of the enemy forces working better this time: Took Loksa a turn 8, the defensive line at turn 11, the coastal gun around 12/13 (after the unit guarding it r...

Re: Panzerkrieg Unit Issues

I see. So maybe you forgot you placed one there? :) Another possibility: Could this be because of a radar tower in the vacinity? Haven't noticed anything like this in v4.1.x and I didn't play any naval scenarios since the v5.2.2 update. If so, this would be like the pre-Kriegsmarine state. But I wil...

Re: Panzerkrieg Unit Issues

Back to the Pacific. I thought surfaced subs could only be spotted by air/navail units next to the sub? This surfaced US sub was just shelled by two Japanese cruisers at 6 hex distance. Maybe there was an submerged enemy sub nearby. Happened to me quite often. Did you check? (And the spotting by ai...

Re: Panzerkrieg units

Oh yes, good idea. I like it.

I found it strange, too, that a 5cmPAK 38 can't enter dense woods and the 8.8cm FlaK in AT mode can :)

Re: Beta - 0.2.6 - Battle of Tallinn

@GabrielKnight, did you capture Linda within the 10 turnsfor the secondary objective? Yes I did, had all the sec. obj. marked green. Took it around turn 7/8 I think with StuKa support (I guess there was no AA gun). The ship's AA support are mostly uneffective. That was not the hard part, because I ...

Re: Beta - 0.2.6 - Battle of Tallinn

update: -The "Take Tallinn" victory condition doesn't check, concluding the scenario with a "draw" (I capured it right at turn 30) -Both "special event" boxes popped up, the transport ship got destroyed. -It got really hard at the end with so many ships and forts bombarding and with heavy inf. dug i...

Re: Beta - 0.2.6 - Battle of Tallinn

Hi, played it using the v5.2.2/64bit and without changing the core units in the middle difficulty. I must admit that I woudn't advance this rapidly usually, but given the 15-turn limit I wanted to see how far I got. I don't like hurting my units so much and would have let them rest more often. I thi...

Re: Panzerkrieg-Onto the Plains of Russia! (Review and Discu

While watching the video, I noticed that he clicked a lot around the primary and secondary objectives (reading and displaying the info texts). The notification box to import the core forces is displayed *after* you close the objectives tab. My guess would be, that this box kind of vanished "in the b...

Re: Undersea Railroad to the Gilbert Islands?

... at the same time, one can sail across the line as if it were nothing, no extra distance at all. Weird. LOL, yeah, I remember thinking the same thing. I think there were even exit hexes near this "border" but you could just fly or sail across it. If I recall correctly the representation was kind...

Re: Undersea Railroad to the Gilbert Islands?

I guess it schould represent a geographical cut in the map (map scale /distance). But you're right, I don't recall it looking so sh***y in the previous version of the game. Maybe they changed a texture and forgot to place the new reference into the older maps.

Re: Erik's campaigns - updates

Hi, there seems to be a problem importing the cores from the "blitzkrieg 39-40" campaign to the "blitzkrieg 41-42" campaign in your newest versions. I just finished it yesterday. I played half the '39-40 campaign on the 32bit v4.1.x version of the game and the last half with the 64bit v5.2.1 version...

Re: Sub question

Oh, and speaking of which, has someone noticed this: If a submerged enemy submarine doesn't move (during a turn) it cannot be detected by sonar. The only method then is to move a ship directly to the subs exact position. And only after that it can be detected by sonar pings from other nearby ships. ...

Re: Sub question

@jonpfl
Ships have to be adjacent to the sub or it can be detected via "sonar" from destroyers or some light cruisers (2 hex radius).

I'm still wondering what happened to the the promised "adjacent ships AND planes" detection method for surfaced subs in the tutorial mesages, though...

Hi, I'm new to this, and hoping I'm doing this posting thing right. Sorry if I shounld have started a new thread with this: Anbody noticed in the first mission of the new "Panzerkrieg" expansion directly after importing the cores from "Blitzkrieg" you are able to "disband" those units during deploym...
