Re: How to use knights
I can say generally that do not be afraid to charge the enemy if you have good impact odds, even if you fall back afterward. I've been doing that against the English with Norman knights in the Battle of Hastings and every once in a while you disrupt the select fyrd with little hurt to yourself. I h...

Re: How to use knights
This is the typical battle tactic of that time. You can try that.Remember don't let your infantry out of steps with your knights, they need to support the knights in close combat or follow when the knights break through the enemy line. Can you provide the source of these images, please? From a book n...

And please let's not have any grief about the Byzantine banner ;) We know it is a Palaiologan flag and dates to the very end of this era, but we had to have one flag for Byzantines, and this is the best known, and will be (mostly) authentic for the Central Byzantine state from 1260 to the fall of C...

Thanks Thanks for the quick reply mister.May I ask could you fix the light/raw crossbowmen's models to let them carry crossbows instead of swords in the future?Or there's already have a plan for that? We have no plans to do that currently. The animator's time is limited and we have to prioritise. U...

Foot huscarl models missing swords(Bug)

Re: Any suggestions of where to place the crossbow/bowmen(from history)
Noob question (1) : why is there no light crossbowmen in say the French 1050-1154 while there are some in the French 888-1049 ? They weren"t used as skirmishers anymore at that time ? Likewise with the Bretons. ____ (1) there is always an interesting answer. Wired to me too, maybe should ask Mr.R.B....

Re: Any suggestions of where to place the crossbow/bowmen(from history)
Sorry I was unclear. I meant "next to a friendly infantry, one square behind" that way : ( empty ) infantry infantry Crossbow Is that historical?I saw many folks used that in the multiplayer mode since the FoG2 ancients. ZoC2 (as we are talking about friendly ZoC2 protecting our (cross)bowmen) can ...

Massed ones ? imho protected by something if possible as they won't evade unlike light ones, depending on what is available/which enemy is in front of them : - on hill behind and above friendly infantry - one hex behind friendly infantry - in rough/difficult terrains - ??? Yep,but (...) 2.They can'...
