I think you've identified the heart of the issue. The social structure and military structure of these societies differed greatly. Well actually, I do plan to mod more things in my custom scenario this summer after I graduate from college ! It’s quite easy to do actually ! As far as Ancient Rome is concerned, one quick example that I remember : the battle of Thapsus in 46 BC. Caesar lost control of the veterans of one of his most experienced legions, and they charged without order while Caesar was riding down the line trying to convince his men to hold their position...

This mod would be absolutely fantastic, it would be my dream mod ! I like anything that brings the game closer to realism, I only play SP (for now) using both FOG2 campaigns and exported FOGE battles, a mod using these new rules would bring the immersion to a whole new level
