Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Spanish Civil War || Dev Diary #2

This looks absolutley great and I'm looking forward to the DLC even more. That's a lot of equipment to choose from and do those tiny upgrades that make me want to push to the next scenario to see what I can change for it. The only thing I would perhpas adjust is the fact that He-70 has no passive ai...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread

I don't recall this ever happening to me in PC2. Some units did have passive air attack in PC1 though, so that might be it. Indeed, I thought this was scrapped because players disliked having the tac bombers be shot at by every tank under the sun while attacking. Ships are about the only units that...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread

and probably had longer range than the Storch. It was in fact quite significantly shorter, unintuitive as it may seem. :) But that does bring up a point that the could be even a bit more more difference in airplane operational ranges. Right now it's easy to notice on the battlefiled, but rarely pre...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread

A few things that came to my mind are: Recon: Focke-Wulf Fw 189 This is my favorite Recon aircraft! Someone modded one for PC1 and I always included it in my equipment file. I just don't know how much it would in practical game terms differ from the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch. Better range, higher defe...

Re: Experimenting

I see four main alternatives here . 1. 15 and the option to capture once more more later as a similar reward. Could encourage meeting that extra objective to continue using the unit. 2. 20, no strings attached. An option to use these in a scenario or two, but not as a primary unit, just extra flavor...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2

I thought about giving the player access to I-16s... But I think they much more appreciate having the HE-112. I dunno, maybe we can test captured I-16 stock. No promises though. He-112 is indeed 10 times cooler and I am thrilled to try this Rolls-Royce of a fighter out. Bf-109 might be better in te...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2

Thanks for the insight! I was mostly thinking of it in context of things like the Winter War, where captured equipment was more common, but true enough it did not apply to airplanes too much even then. I guess it's entirely possible to add such units as very specific rewards with the new Commendati...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2

Capture aircraft! This. Instead of having airplanes fall from the sky upon capturing the only airfiled in range, this would be so much more fun! I brought this topic up some months ago and was told it was discussed and vetoed. Not enough enemy aircraft were in fact captured to the point where you c...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread

Prototypes I transferred to the new bonus objective system. When you get them, you get a permanent non limited parts version. But if the whole unit is destroyed, it's irreplaceable. This, plus needing to go above and beyond with victory conditions to earn points to acquire such rewards, will hopefu...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Spanish Civil War || Dev Diary #1

Looks really nice, a lot of these feature can spice things up. Commandation Points seem like the most interesting feature - another layer of actual influence as a general and a reason to aim for the bonus objectives other than just a generic "Major vitory". I just wonder if you earn less than you co...

A few things that came to my mind are: General units: Armoured trains River boats Fighters: Heinkel He 112 (as prototype and also for Romanian and maybe Hungarian armies) Heinkel He 219 (overall introducing night fighters that could be able to operate normally in cloudy weather) Messershmitt P1101 (...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread

I have a proposal for next week's topic: Units we could potentially add to Panzer Corps 2. The unit roster of Panzer Corps 2 is absolutely staggering... but there's always room for MOAR! The unit variety maniac in me is already pondering. The's almost a week left to think carefully about ...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread

I always try to keep my core full of various types of units for the different tactical option it gives and the fun immersive element. Besides, the equipment upgrade factor and decisions about army compositionor was always the most enjoyable for me in Panzer Corps. Towed guns are great at the start, ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Axis Operations DLCs announced

You seem to be blind as to what the MAJORITY of your players expect from a "Panzer Corps" game. Data from forums and sales in PzC 1 point to the fact that Grand Campagin is most anticipated amongst players and that it will sell best. I also bought the FM edition and while I'd prefer an Italian or F...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Axis Operations DLCs announced

Will you mention the fact, that Poland also participated in the division of Czechoslovakia? Will the new formed state of Slovakia also take part in the invasion of Poland? The former would probably only work as a short mention in the briefing, as the scale of it was quite small, accounting for 805 ...

Took this little gem from the shelf now to check. :) https://s.lubimyczytac.pl/upload/books/134000/134085/352x500.jpg According to the authors, the first bomber variant used by the Germans was a Ju 52/3m g3e conversion known as the Behelfsbomber (support bomber), menat as a stopgap due to delays in ...

Re: Looking ahead to Patch 5

What about making the garrison an immobile 5 power fortification type unit that cannot be carried over to the next scenario, but is deployed in some strategic locations on a map (not too generously, but in a few places where it could matter but placing infanctry or AT guns could be exploited)? It wo...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Axis Operations DLCs announced

I was expecting that decision given the huge support for Grand Campaign on the forums. What's great is that it at least in a certain way combines what I hoped for in seeing other locations in the DLCs. Spanish Civil War looks really different - the units will be less powerful (Ju 52 as bombers!) an...
