There was an updated hotfix available for immediate download on Matrix's website and announced on www.wargamer.com. It states "The small but effective update will address an AI issue." what is this?

Seriously, what Happycat said. This thread is getting old. The price is what the price is. CEAW is worth the money. Slitherine has never published a dog. Not once. Every Slitherine game I have ever bought was worth the money, and I own them all except Legion and Chariots of War, which are the two o...

the truth is the real Axis did some funny things: allowing Dunkirk ignoring Malta not adding more forces in Libya when it could have made a difference not going into winter quarters before blizzards hit and not being prepared for winter 41 trying to go after Stalingrad and the Caucusus at the same t...

I agree the affect should be harsher.. should units in cities or units that are entrenched be less affected since they are better prepared for winter? If the German army had not gone back on the offensive in Nov 41 and dug in, they would not have been as badly impacted, trains could have been bringi...

personally I would assume I had to download the patch, I can't imagine it would hurt to re-install the patch if you actually had it.

AI seems much improved in 1.2... On very hardest I was having quite a time trying to take France (39 scenario) I waited too long and spent time in Norway...playing 41 scenario as Axis Russia is giving me a decent challenge, Summer of 42 I have taken Leningrad and surrounded Moscow. And have driven i...

German AI

In my last game (39 scen)(hardest) Germany did not go after Norway or Greece and as of late 41 had not made any move in the Mediterranean or Africa... is this typical? very aggressive with France and Russia though.

At the hardest level with FOW & oil on, I am playing the 39 scenario as the allies I notice that the axis slices through my front a lot easier than when I played the 41 scenario on the hardest level. the extra time with the benefits make a big difference.. more units, higher tech

was adding the feature of giving units a distant rally point (like Africa) and they move independently until they get there so that the player can initiate the move and forget about it until they arrive?

Re: F.O.W

2 Questions: 1) Does Fog of War effect the A.I.? or does the behavior change when it can 'see' all units also. and not related but... 2) The game rules dialog box has blanks/ checkboxes for many potential, additional, as yet undefined/ unreleased rule sets. Will these be in further patches, or is i...

WOW

Well, I could not wait any longer to play Ceaw after reading the reviews and some of Possum's account of the game and I have to say they have succeeded in making the best strategic WWII game that I have played bar none... just the right balance and it has the great quality of just wanting to make yo...
