I think this needs some clarification: I am not sure what exactly the difference between General and Field Marshal is. But beating the CAMPAIGN (1939 - don't know if the others work as well) at Field Marshal level unlocks THREE extra difficulty levels named after famous Generals. These are Field Mar...

Congrats, Fritz! :)

I doubt I will ever manage to do that on Field Marshal... so I cheated... *cough* ... just to see the bonus reward. ;)

What shall I say without spoiling it... let me just say BRILLIANT idea.

no, no positional advantage for attacking from opposite directions.

A minor bug regarding SE units:

If you place them first, they don't count towards the deployment limit.
If you want to place them last, you can't anymore.
(i.e. you have to remove one unit and then you can place your SE units and place the other unit again)

I had constantly prestige problems but played at Colonel. (what is actually the special bonus to the enemy at Field Marshal besides the better AI level?) I found the Panther G to be vulnerable and your ground setup is what I would do if I would have to play it again. Focus on more Tiger II than Pant...

I am also promoting Panzer Corps at every opportunity. It's worth it and for me a dream come true.

I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to see a sequel with the missing PG/AG scenarios!!!

I find it remarkable that he also used an Excel list to keep track of strength points lost.

This should maybe give our designers a hint about improvements to the casualty list! ;)

North Africa (Corps) of course.

But I would also like to see the three Allied Campaigns of Allied General.

The early British scenarios - in North Africa - were among the most interesting to play maps/scenarios in Panzer General/Allied General for sure.

I just reached "Overlord" in the 1943 West campaign and would like to second the OP (MickMannock). As I said, I have not played it yet but this map is a compromise of D-Day and "Cobra". I hope a "D-Day" and "Cobra" map get added at one point and maybe even replace this one. While it really seems to ...

No, the "C" casualties could use some improvements.

Like making a difference between Campaign/Scenario - Panzer General already did that.

I would also really like a "strength point losses" casualties list which would me much more accurate as the other list only shows unit kills.

Regarding the Prestige issue I think it was the right decision to raise it. The campaign path for players arriving at the East Coast makes for a huge variance in core unit number and experience. Before the invasion I had the maximum or close to the maximum of core units and did fine and only the Wes...

@Fritz decisive, turn 17. Was a very close thing, didn't expect a major victory anymore. I think I should have upgraded my Infantry to Grenadiers. I mostly used Opel transported Wehrmacht/Wehrmacht 43 Infantry throughout the campaign. They are cheap to reinforce with elite reinforcements, have lots ...

In general: While Stukas are cheap, Ju88 level bombers are a lot more effective in my opinion. They add a lot more suppression than Ju87 destroy which makes them invaluable for minimizing your own losses while attacking ANYTHING. Heck, I even use them to bomb Matildas as funnily or rather unfunnily ...

The final three America scenarios of the campaign

This is my report about the new and final America scenarios of the 1939 Campaign. If you are allergic to SPOILERS, stop reading now. This will be no typical AAR but rather a summary of my thoughts about the final three scenarios of he campaign. I will discuss my take on the balance of the three scen...

OK, it turned out that the first turns are brutal but then you make them pay. Nevertheless I lost some units that were with me since Poland.

US East Coast, 1939 Campaign

So I finally made it there. I thought Kursk was hard (I couldn't afford to turn most of my tanks into Tigers and Panthers) but the US East Coast is IMO even harder. It's scary. Can you give me some advice how to face the challenges of this scenario? - First, I have some 11K Prestige, how much would ...

I would like to second the voices against the "overrun" mechanic.

I am still a bit on the fence regarding the move+shoot for artillery.

Speaking from my Allied General experience: The early Africa scenarios (British Campaign) were top notch. Challenging, interesting. The problem was that the campaign became progressively so much easier once you made it past these scenarios. The Western Europe part wasn't nearly as much fun and I bar...
